Another late night, she’d decided to play some music as she cleaned up the store when she finished, she turned the radio off and walked to the back. She went into her back office and began looking through emails, social media, and a few bills she needed to pay. After a couple minutes she heard a crash coming from inside the store, in a moment of worry for her store, she naively forgot she was in a big city with very dangerous people. She wasn’t in her small town in Connecticut where broken glass often resulted in an accident or a teenager. She ran from her office and found a young man, looked to be no older than in his early to mid-twenties. “Wh-what are you doing?” She yelled and without fail, she suddenly had a weapon pointed at her. Her eyes widened as the fear and regret of her actions suddenly took place. She could hear him yelling at her, and demanding that she empty her til. "I...” she was in shock, she’d never thought to have experienced this before. She kept her hands up, as if proving she didn’t have anything, she walked behind the counter as he continued to yell at her. “I’m sorry!” She yelled back feeling tears start to fall down her cheeks as she began to do what he’d asked. “Just don’t hurt me..”
