“You think they’d have better food at these things by now” Luca commented, but still went ahead and picked up the small green square he could only assume was some sort of vegetable mashed into that shape, and popped it into his mouth. He had to eat, because his main goal was staying as sober as he could, while still sipping on a beer at all times, so nobody offered him one of those god awful cocktails.

“You’re not here for my money, are you?” Luca asked, his head bobbing to the side when Auri arrived at his table, otherwise empty. He was very tired of refusing people, explaining that all his funds were tied up with Faith, receiving frown after frown at the realisation that they wouldn’t get a penny from him this go around.

“Sorry your guys didn’t make it this far” Abel frowned as he slid in beside Auri at the bar, pushing his empty glass forward so he could order a replacement. “Weird one this time around, isn’t it?” He said then, nodding to the bar man for another of whatever cocktail he’d been drinking before he emptied the glass dry.

Abel was well on his way. The only thing getting him through today was the never ending supply of alcohol he could drown himself in. He was wobbling through the crowds with his half full glass when someone pushed his shoulder a little too hard and he tipped over, not falling, but definitely spilling his drink, standing uselessly as the glass smashed onto the hard wood floor. “Whoopsie-daisy” he said, pulling his lip between his teeth before he noticed a familiar face. “Oh Auri, did I spill it on you?” He asked then, with wide eyes.
