Page 9. ---- Youth Gets Suspended Sentence, Must Stay on Farm ---- CHATHAM, Feb. 28. - Six months suspended sentence was given Carl Livingstone, 17, of Creek road, Harwich Township, on a charge of unlawfully wearing the King's uniform when he appeared before Magistrate Ivan B. Craig in police, court.
The court ruled that Livingstone must stay on the farm at nights unless accompanied to town by his father.
His companion James Zigman, 21, of Brockville, from whom Livingstone obtained the uniform, was remanded one week for sentence on a charge of vagrancy. Zigman said he had been turned down three times as medically unfit when he tried to enlist in the army.
The two men were picked up by Provost police shortly before midnight February 20 and turned over to city police.
