Tikki didn’t understand why Marinette was wasting her transformation here in this foreign land. There hadn’t been any signs of Hawkmoth at the moment, so that meant that there was no necessity to transform. Marinette had two reasons. The first was that she never knew if a threat would come and she wanted to remain vigilante; she had heard rumors that there were odd creatures here in Wonderland, but they didn’t attack too often.
The Parisans were her other concern. It had quickly become evident that other people from Paris had been sucked down the same hole that had claimed Marinette. She knew that she could act as a beacon of hope. And that’s what the French people needed. Hope.
Now donning her superhero persona, Ladybug swung through the building in the center of Cestrelle, discovering the best patrol route here in Wonderland. While it was no Paris, it was still a beautiful sight and she had to know the best ways to maneuver it (this would also help to make her civilian life easier so she knew how to maneuver around). She waved at the people who had called out to her--she recognized a few of them, a few small children from the streets.
Something seemed off, though. But. She needed to do so. Ladybug glanced around as she shot her yo-yo upward and changed her direction, swinging towards Novaster Academy, her new school. She landed on the school’s rooftop and sat on the edge of it. It was no Eiffell Tower but it was still a nice way to behold the sight of Wonderland and it helped to comfort her.
But she couldn’t help but sigh. Everything still seemed wrong. That there was an unbalance to her life. She crossed her arms over a propped knee and leaned forward onto it. “I miss Paris,” she mused.
