The Throne in the Hall is the only (non-au) fanfic I’ve ever read where I thought, “You don’t need a single bit of context to read and love this fic.” I honestly believe you could show this to a person and they would understand the characters, the dynamics, everything. And it’s just an amazing story. So, so, so good - so I have to say it’s my favorite even though all your writing is so good.
wOW, thank you so much! What an amazing compliment. I’ve had non-voltron fandom friends read through Throne before and they seem to have really enjoyed it, which is such an honor. I’m so glad you loved it, too!
(what is your favorite fic of mine?)
thank you
thank you all for your kind comments on my post earlier today <3 it means a lot to me!!
Would you ever write a Voltron fairy tale AU? (Cinderlla, Sleeping Beauty, etc) If so, which fairy tale would you pick?
y E S. I’ve thought about this toooooo often. I’d love a Sleeping Beauty AU. Sleeping Beauty in particular is hard to write gen, though, since the curse only breaks with True Love’s Kiss, so it’d more than likely have to be a ship!fic. ….unless I went the Robin McKinley route, since she has a fantastic twist on this story that I won’t spoil here. What an excellent book, though.
I’ve thought a lot about a Cinderella AU, too. I think Keith would make an excellent Cinderella. Again, fairytales take a little more forethought to twist gen instead of ship, but I just love the thought of Grumpy Fairy Godmother Kolivan. It would just be so great.
(Ask me: would you ever write…?)
Would you ever write about Shiro and Keith pre-canon?
yES. Absolutely. I have such a weakness for this you don’t even know ;A;
The only pre-canon piece I’ve done so far is in the daemon!AU, but that doesn’t go too far back. It’d be fun to do something canon. My hangup is that if I were going to write this I feel like I’d need something specific or unique to use as a launching point, not to mention there’s been so much great fic about this concept that I’m temporarily sated. (Slip the Surly Bonds, in particular, is gREAT.)
(Ask me: would I ever write….?)
Came for something Voltron-related, stayed for the Voltron-related content but also for the fact that you’re clearly an incredibly sweet, genuinely nice person to the degree that it shows through your blog without even running into you directly – and on days when I run into too much unpleasantness or cynicism, it makes me feel better to be reminded that there are good, well-meaning people to counterbalance it.
Wow! Thank you so much, dear anon - this is incredibly sweet of you to say :’) I’m very honored and glad you stuck around <3 Have a good day!
Came for that Good, Good Voltron Team Bonding™ (and that Good Good Coran Appreciation™), stayed for the SHEER MASTERY OF SO MANY STYLES OF STORY and the sweet personality behind the writing 💜
You came for Coran?! I’m so touched!! There aren’t enough people who love him :’) and that good voltron team bonding is always a win in my book. What an honor 💜 thank you for this!!

Very interesting and great advice! I’m glad you’re meeting a lot of nice people around all the work at least :)
Thank you! I am too. And thanks for asking about the good parts - I’ve been pretty focused on the upcoming negatives, especially with summer quickly winding down, so it was really a great reminder that I should be looking at the good things too <3
