Winner Winner, Chicken Dinner!
I’ve been obsessed with buffalo sauce for a while. The tangy-spiciness of chicken wings drowsed in hot sauce with a cool dip is the stuff foodgasms are made of. Some are breaded, some are not. Some come coated in the sauce, and some make you work for it. The only thing that they have in common is that they are all usually fried.
And that is no bueno for me.
Hence, here follows a divine recipe for oven grilled chicken wings coated with buffalo sauce! They are super easy to make and can lift up a dull Tuesday night like nothing else.
1. Chicken wings, of course! I made about 12 pieces.
2. Frank’s original hot sauce (or your own favorite hot sauce)
3. About half a stick of butter
1. Preheat your oven to about to 400 degrees F.
2. Melt your butter on low heat or in the microwave and add some cayenne pepper, salt and hot sauce to this. Keep tasting to find the right spice and tanginess for you.
3. Once the oven pre-heats, line up your chicken wings on a baking sheet and rub the amazing buttery mixture all over them.
4. The wings need to be baked for about 45-50 mins. Take them out about twice in between and drowse them with some more buttery goodness.
5. The time to take them out is when they look a little charred and taste wonderfully crunchy on the outside.
6. Put in a bowl and coat with a little more of just the hot sauce.
7. Serve with a cool blue cheese or ranch dressing!
For an even healthier option, you could use a lower calorie butter substitute. I haven’t tried the recipe with the same myself so there might be some changes in flavor!
Eat well my lovely people.
