Day 3: Maximizing your pint-ness
The hardest part about working out, whether it's at home or in a gym, is making the time for it. When you work out at home, sometimes this feels even harder because the little things (like moving a coffee table or turning off the TV) seem so big when you are already comfortably ensconced among the fluffy pillows on your couch.
Last night, my roommate continually asked during commercial breaks if we were going to work out. She breaks a sweat from the Before Shower Workout leading her to take the title to heart and she had been putting off the evening's shower so we could do this.
I finally got off my butt and cheered her on while we did the Before Shower Workout. And that's all we had time for because we had started so late. That part is my fault. I've recently become literally addicted to gathering points on a new TV-watching app and it hinders my evening hours because those are maximum points shows.
But I still feel the burn in my abs when I do the crunches and the mountain climbers. The push ups, even at the low number of 5, still make me feel like I'm pushing the entire Earth away from me. The real victory to emerge from day 3's workout is that my roommate, who only two days before strained her way through a 29 second plank, was able to hold a great plank for 50 seconds!
The fact that I have been able to even keep up with the 'daily' part of the Before Shower Workout pin is the smaller victory. And doing it with someone else makes it more fun.
