This is a compliment to the Rubik’s Cube art posted a little ways down... we priced a speedcuber for Thomas and Betts (not the guy in the video above, but of the same breed) under the auspices of ‘Thomas and Betts can solve even your most complex challenges’.
This seems like a pretty evergreen message that could apply to a lot of our clients, and the costs are pretty reasonable.
SketchAR is an application through which the user sees a virtual image on the surface of which they are planning to trace a sketch. In one hand, the user holds a phone and sees a virtual image, while the other hand traces virtual lines already on the paper.
This could be a good option alongside the ‘paint-by-numbers’ style experiences. Consider an activity where the client’s offerings are positioned as being able to help their customers do the impossible, allowing them to create a take-home masterpiece using the AR tech.

This is a group I’ve worked with back in the museum days, and have spoken with about a couple if ideas over the years at Derse. They have a couple of interesting platforms, specifically:
Dancing Banners: Servo-controlled tension fabric structures
Choreographed Iron Dust: Electromagnets used to create images that are controlled to make the iron filings ‘dance’
Spin Browser: This one is my favorite... it’s a really nicely-weighted shuttle wheel that can used to scroll through content. It’s especially effective with high-speed/high frame rate content and/or time-lapse content.
Smart bage technology to facilitate business networking, drive face-to-face conversations with real time matching, analyze business human capital insights.
This is Allyson Shepard’s new outfit... it’s a three-step process:
1. Attendee completes a short survey to establish care-abouts
2. Results are coded into a badge, which reacts to other attendees/staff with the same care-abouts
3. Data is collected and analyzed
Maybe more relevant for events than the typical tradeshow, but worth a look.
These guys do art installations using Rubik’s Cubes as pixels - similar in intent to the LEGO mural / crayon mural approach (in fact, Cubeworks also works in LEGO, crayons, and spools of thread).
saw something these folks did where they had an full-sized ICE outfit that you could pose behind for a photo opp. Simple attract possibilities.

Custom coasters:
A company called Image360 (http://www.image360.com/brookfieldwi) made these for us. From what I was told by those present, the process is super quick. Something like this could make for a cool in-exhibit giveaway or engagement that applies easily to a variety of brands/messaging.
