INTERACTION CHEAT SHEET: a guide to easy scenarios to slot our characters into, as well as some wanted plotlines.
[⁰¹]. monster of the week. ↳ (best for hunter characters or those with hunter verses.) our muses, for one reason or another, are paired together on a hunt. it could be pure coincidence — i.e: them simply being on the same trail as the other — or something more planned — i.e: being sent to the same hunt by someone else, like bobby / john / daniel, et cetera — but either way, they're forced together for a period of time to work a case.
monster of choice is up to us! we can peruse the supernatural wiki, we can make up our own, we can do something in between, it's all up for grabs.
maybe the characters work well together, maybe they don't — but either way, we can extend out interactions by either having the case go longer than expected, or perhaps they just work very well together and choose to forge forward as a pair.
[⁰²]. the greater good. ↳ (best for monster-esque characters of any sort. vampires, demons, et cetera.) our muses are fundamentally at odds with one another, but must work together for a shared goal or a mutual enemy. while this scenario does require more plotting — re: specifics — it can give us a forced proximity to work off of and develop a dynamic off of. it could begin as antagonistic and move towards understanding, or it could stay antagonistic and heighten over time, or neither.
as said above, this will require a bit more plotting due to the fact that lucy is extremely black-or-white thinking when it comes to any sort of supernatural being, as well as the fact that specifics will change dependent on the opposing character.
i'm open to bending this to however we need. if our characters need more time to adjust to one another, maybe the scenario is something that forces them together for long periods of time. if our characters are butting heads too much, maybe there's an arc we insert where they're forced to see each other's vulnerabilities. et cetera.
admittedly, lucy is someone who will take a lot of chipping away at for her to come to terms with the fact that the opposing figure is not out to get her or not inherently evil. again, it's dependent on the character and plot at hand, but i feel i should give a warning that turning a dynamic like this into any sort of non-antagonistic one will most likely dive into some heavier internal workings.
[⁰³]. civilian life. ↳ (best for non-supernatural characters or aus.) our muses coincidentally align. whether it be a chance meeting at a diner, your muse being haunted / hunted by something, or something in between, our muses end up linking up for whatever reason and linger around one another for a period of time. maybe they know about the supernatural, maybe they don't, but either way, these dynamics will most likely take the most work to get a prolonged period of time out of due to lucy's lifestyle and way of living.
specifics will depend on what kind of character the other is, but i do love the concept of lucy helping someone out in a haunting / hunting / et cetera.
if we're going the other route and choosing more of a quote-unquote regular meeting, then it may take a little more of emotional depth and compatibility between characters to get lucy to linger around. however, there's nothing wrong with that! i'm a big believer that most things can be worked out in plotting.
because lucy is on the road so much, getting prolonged periods of time out of her is a bit difficult, but i'm open to figuring out how / why she might settle down for a period of time!
[⁰⁴]. wanted plots. ↳ (open to everyone!) this is just a short little list of wanted dynamics or plotlines that i have cooking in my brain right now, and is prone to be added onto as i think of new things.
someone write daniel elkins for me. i'm so serious, i will offer graphics for the blog and everything. just give me the mentor / mentee dynamic. he's basically free real estate.
a dynamic based on 'thoroughfare' by ethel cain. willing to do aus for this too, so if we already have a dynamic plotted but you're interested, hit my line.
aus, aus, aus! give me regular, every-day civilian aus with hunters. give me role-reversal aus with monsters. give me weird, wacky, trope-ified aus for shits and giggles. whatever it is, i'm game.
note: i typically like to do aus with individuals i already have a dynamic with. meaning that if interested, i'd heavily prefer if our main dynamic was one we've already mapped out and had a few things written for.
