I listened to Toby Morse’s podcast interview with Steve Caballero today. It’s an excellent listen and well recommended. Stevie talked about lots of things, including cassettes, and I’ve kept this one close throughout the years so I put it in today. The perfect season! Two songs with Stevie singing and playing guitar and bass, and his friend Marc Gonzalez playing drums and keyboards. At this point I was starting to realize that Steve was one of those guys who is good at whatever he does. The photo is by our friend Bryan Temmermand and i remember seeing this and being so bummed that Stevie had asked Bryan to shoot it and not me. Which was ridiculous, since I was living in San Diego and only in SJ once a month. Completely stupid and typically immature of me during those years.
