When Jesse was younger (and far more impulsive than he is now) he was faced with the dreadful decision of either staying quiet and focusing on his own future, or taking his little sister Olivia and running. He's never really regretted taking Liv's hand, even when she really loves embarrassing him, though he does occasionally feel guilty and wonders if he's done enough to protect her and set her up for success. Over the years, Olivia has introduced Jesse to a world of weird children's cartoons, melodramatic teen dramas, and baffling reality TV, while also expanding his world a bit, as she's far more sociable than her brother. It has yet to result in Jesse making a move at Ulan, but Liv believes she can get him there…. eventually.
