godspeed soldier i can see folks being salty about the existence of this blog but as an avid member of various mcyt spaces and not so much the minecraft fandom itself y'all have been telling us about these tagging issues for years now. A gentle nudge of an ender crystal reblog isn't as disastrous as people think and there's an easy fix to it which is following the tagging protocol as we've been instructed! i don't look at minecraft art much but when i do its impossible to find what I'm actually looking for your doing the lord work o7

I'm tickled that in running this blog I apparently "pass" as a minecraft fandom member, lol. Thanks for the encouraging words!

I hail firmly from the mcyt side of the issue myself (hermitblr to be exact), but I love the game & would lurk in the tag to see cool builds & art of fan-designed update concepts... Which is what led me to encounter So Much Mistagged Fanart, & then make this blog. It's also why I'm so baffled at the crosstagging: like, MCYT tags exist! I know them! I USE them when posting about the hermits!! ^^;

"The crystal will go away eventually." this implies that you remove your reblogs manually when the #Minecraft tag has been removed

The asks you’ve been getting from MCYT fans are insane. Why are people sending you deranged rants over a very reasonable request? Speaking as someone who’s been in the MC fandom since 2021, I am relieved people are actually addressing this issue. I follow the Minecraft tag to look at fanart of the actual game, not Dream RPF. They literally use the Mineblr tag, despite the fact it was made for the express purpose of separating MCYT and actual minecraft.

Since 2021, huh... yeah, #minecraft must've been an absolute nightmare back then. I was definitely active on tumblr around then, but being an mcyt fan I only knew of the issue from the outside :') Glad I can help in some way now though, & I appreciate the support-- especially in a named ask, since it shows that other people are genuinely bothered by the mistagging 💜

And hey! Since we're talking about names: anon asks have calmed down for now since I took a few days off for the new year, but a couple peoples' complaints are still clearly visible in my notes. How fun! How original, in their rebuttals!

Just wanted to thank u again for how clear ur blog is to follow!! I haven't been invested in mcyt since 2022 and that was back on popjam where tagging systems were kinda whack anyway so when getting back into it now I had no idea there was a difference in usage for the tags minecraft and mcyt, but ur blog is super clear as to how the two tags differ and how I could resolve that issue, so thank you !!! :D
