Part 4
Samifer Aesthetics - Highschool!AU - Cheer For Me
A lot of guys made fun of Sam for being a cheerleader, but he really couldn’t have cared less. He enjoyed the workout and the friends he made, so why would he bother listen to anyone? It kept him in a much better shape than running or going to the gym and besides, there was someone he was cheering for after all.
It wasn’t unusual for a quarterback to be together with one of the cheerleaders, in this case it just happened to be Sam, even if nobody knew. Lucifer had been his boyfriend for quite some time now and it made cheerleading just much more fun for Sam. Jo and Meg, two of his teammates, often joked about how they would score Lucifer one day, but Sam knew better.
After one particular game – the last and most important one of the season – things took an unexpected turn, however. Sam had been great, his team’s routine had been flawlessly executed and everyone was hyped when Lucifer took the game home in the last few seconds. Pomp oms flew through the air, the girls went mad and screamed, including Sam. The boy didn’t pay attention though, everything was way too loud to even realize that Lucifer was not with his own teammates anymore.
Suddenly Sam was lifted up, the girls began screaming again and the next thing he knew was that Lucifer kissed him – in front of everyone and with the biggest grin on his face.
“We won! We did it, Sam! We did it!”
Sam began laughing and wrapped his arms around Lucifer’s neck as he carried him away, tears in his eyes and the confused questions of the girls around them.
“You jerk! You blew our cover!” Sam wasn’t mad of course, instead he was extremely happy right now, but until now Lucifer had always been careful with their relationship. “What will your boys say now?”
“Are you kidding me?” Lucifer laughed and kissed Sam again before putting him down on the field. “We won, I got the hottest cheerleader of them all as my boyfriend, so who cares what they say?”
Sam swore everything around them had just exploded when he sealed Lucifer’s lips with his own again, but maybe it was just the relief that they wouldn’t have to hide anymore. Lucifer was right, there was no need to care about anyone else really.
What if after Dean drops out of high school, a boy in Sam's math class asks Sam to join the cheerleading squad with him to balance out the team. Cue Sam joining and enjoying the unrestrained freeness and all-out fun that he experiences during practices and at games, because it lets him be somebody other than the weird kid who lives in the motel and hunts monsters even just for an hour. He can pretend to be loud and proud and vivacious, and maybe let himself believe that he can actually be those things. He just tells Dean that he's staying late after school for chess team, or that he's using the weight room, or that he's tutoring, or that he's out with friends. But also Sam in a tight-fitting lycra uniform that displays his tight little ass front and center, and also sam experimenting with the other boy on the team, and also sam and the other boy on the team peeling each other out of their spangly uniforms in the locker room and kissing and touching in the showers (◡‿◡✿)
