“soooo... just so i’m sure we’re on the same page here,” robin’s nerves bubble her up into a mess of giggles and stumbling words the whole way through, “you’re telling me, robin buckley-- geek extraordinaire-- that like,” it takes a lot for her not to just splutter on and on about how SHE’S an actual potential variable-- maybe chrissy’s first choice? no way. still, she struggles forward, “ i matter that much to you? really? i’m sorry that just... shatters logic? not in a bad way but like,” she’s feelings hysterical as she laughs, “i dunno. i just feel like the script should be flipped? should be me telling you all that. that you make my life worth living and shit chrissy. like! GAH,” it takes her another moment of floundering before she can even meet chrissy’s eyes again:

"You're gonna be fine Chrissy I promise," Cherry says as she holds back a laugh. She loved Chrissy but could be a bit dramatic at times. She was not a fan of being late which was fair but the whole world wouldn't end if they were a few minutes late to the party. She just needs to find her lipgloss. She's looking through old purses and jacket pockets but she can't find it. "What if some cute guy is there who wants to make out but my lips are all dry and sad looking. This is life or death, Chris. Did I put my gloss in your bag when we were grabbing lunch, maybe?"

               IT   WAS   AN   AWKWARD   SILENCE   BETWEEN   them,   and   perhaps   that   was   mostly   on   her   part.   Chocolate   hues   found   Chrissy,   lips   twitched   in   want   of   a   smile,   “   You   know,   you   got   a   good   swing.   Knockin’   that   one   guy   out   with   a   flashlight?   ”   a   proud   look   crossed   her   features.   Erica   could   still   the   teen’s   hands   around   her   wrist,   and   the   push   against   her   back.   She’d   live   for   the   most   part.   Besides,   that   wasn’t   where   her   main   concern   was. @cheersnap

Hawkins was a mess.

The gymnasium of Hawkins High School was flooded with people, some seeking out loved ones, some donating essential items and sorting them, and others being those coming to get some. Everybody was talking, trying to figure out what on earth had happened, what could have caused such an earthquake, if that was what it was?

Jamie Cunningham was huddled on the bleachers, one arm in a cast and a blanket that somebody had wrapped around the thirteen year old's shoulders. A backpack with a few basic belongings sat at his feet, just the few things he'd brought with him when he'd gone out on his bike the night before, sneaking out his bedroom window with no idea that before long things would be irrevocably changed.

His blue eyes flitted over every person that came through the doors, hopes rising and then falling as each one wasn't Chrissy. He swallowed roughly. No, Chrissy was fine, he was sure, everything was going to be okay.

ABIGAIL WASN’T SURE how to answer that question. To be fair, she wasn’t sure how to answer MOST questions, especially ones whose answers were supposed to actually MEAN something. So, she just shrugged. “It depends… do you want a more optimistic perspective? Or a more… REALISTIC one?” She knew that was a shitty answer, and she mentally cursed herself for it. Fiddling with the chain around her neck, Abigail sighed softly, looking up at the sky. “I HOPE it all works out…” And I hope I see my dad again.
