@krch-1982 I do! i always have I just never have the time or motivation to get into WoW and level a character up to that point lmfao that’s why I still don’t have one yet
@sandwyrm They are! That’s why I’m in a constant state of refereshing social media so I can find out when they ARE online. And then continue to refresh bc I heard there’s gonna be a cinematic and that’s 👀
@mipeltaja replied to your post “personally I like to headcanon that Vol’jin and Tyrathan can’t...”
I've had this exact thought process, too! I'd also imagine Vol'jin's never been kissed before Tyrathan tries it, because just try to fit two troll faces together without someone's tusks ending up in an eye or up a nose.
Yes exactly! Plus, it just makes it all the more interesting when these two very different people find a way to be affectionate with each other. Tyrathan makes up for not being able to kiss him full on the lips by kissing his cheek, or the corner right by his tusk, or the tusk itself - which is entirely foreign to Vol’jin but makes him giddy. And Vol’jin can still give Tyrathan affection - through touching his forehead to his, or placing his chin atop Tyrathans head, or nudging his tusks against Tyrathan’s cheek - because I think the closest thing that trolls would have to kisses would be hooking their tusks together, and it’s seen as a really intimate and sweet thing. I just love it.
There’s also the fact that, if you have an AU thing going on where Tyrathan meets up with Vol’jin somehow after he breaks his tusk... well then he can kiss him on the lips much easier now that it’s out of the way so ONE good thing right lmfao
@cellard0ors replied to your post: how the heck do people just perpetually level...
I did it - it sucks. LOL - also meant to tell you, all your wow reblogs? I LIVE
HOW'D YOU GET THROUGH IT. Is doing all my leveling drunk or high hindering or helping my experience do you think? XD
and honestly YEAH I'm so glad that I got into the WoW fandom and got some mojo back. it's been a while since i've been so excited about things! I'm glad they're still appealing to you <3 <3 <3
@windwyrm replied to your post: when it comes to the human races in WoW they...
Vrykul. Who then got fucking ignored henceforth and I will always hate that + especiallly the no mention of them in Shadowlands. They’re the first afterlives we’ve explored. Now they’re gone because cAtHoLiC hEaVeN/hElL wAs CoOlEr no i wont fucking ever not be mad about this
Blizzard, seeing an opportunity to be even slightly interesting or creative:
they made Vol’jin warchief, a position he deserved...
as far as I’m personally concerned, they should’ve written Garrosh better or made Saurfang warchief in bfa but we got neither because what the shit is good writing. Vol'jin would’ve been a tertiary option for me. But hey we get Thrall twice and Hitler But No She’s Actually Hot And Good We Promise You Just Don’t Get It
I’m just an immensely pathetic Vol’jin stan so the way they did him dirty rubs me the wrong way any time I think about it. Him potentially ascending to a loa is an OKAY consolation prize but I feel like it means we’re never gonna see him in an important role again which is ARGH!!!!
anyways read more bc it got to a couple paragraphs on accident. its all a mess. bear with me
As for Garrosh and Saurfang, totally agree. It’s a shame that the writers had such bad communication that they totally buried Garrosh’s interesting character in “idk make him evil I guess”. And Saurfang would have been ideal from what I know, but Blizzard just can’t handle any form of complicated or intricate writing when it comes down to it.
I think Sylvanas’ route had been planned all along. I mean, betrayal and a genocide or two were always under Sylvanas’ belt, it was just a matter of when and how it would come into play. And I think it was just bad timing in the story on Blizzards part, and also just... weird decision making to make it easier to write, I guess. They could have easily just had Sylvanas do these things off on her own, but that would require thought and nuance - how her relations with the rest of the Horde would react (without her having the power as warchief) or how the Alliance would react to the Horde when it was only Sylvanas acting alone, the potential break off of the Forsaken from the Horde, or the difficulties that Sylvanas would face in achieving her goals (even with the Jailer apparently on her side). But nah. That’s too interesting. Would take too much work. Just make her Warchief so that she’s got all the power over all the other leaders and they do what she says and also all the people are on her side for some reason in this so All The Horde Is Bad until she disappears and it’s all good again i guess.
Like, I truly just can’t understand WHY they would put her into the Warchief position like this!? I mean I guess I can understand WHY but not how they thought it was a good idea?! Sylvanas coulda easily done all the things she did and more WITHOUT being the Warchief and WITHOUT this MoP 2.0 shit.
I dunno man. I’m still fuzzy on a lot of lore and it’s 2am so this is just rambling nonsense but I feel like I woulda LOVED the story if they just made someone else Warchief after Vol’jin rather than Sylv? like they did that shit for shock value and only shock value it would have been better if it were Saurfang or Baine or fucking JI I don’t knooowwww it was so unnecesssarryyyy
either way. fuck. why make Vol’jin warchief if you’re just gonna shove him to the side for his ENTIRE reign as Warchief and then nix him just for the sake of ANOTHER faction war? I MEAN FOR REAL in WoD he had like maybe one quest that included him? or some shit? JUST??? WHAT???? FUCK!
