I have a masterpost in the slow making, but the BOA, or Basal Ontological Anomaly is a foreign conceptual volume that is currently colliding with our universe in ideospace.

To avoid mutual annihilation, the two have ‘agreed’ to allow the BOA to surgically remove parts of our reality to support itself and, with the help of our universe, cover those holes with benevolent servants in hopes of prolonging the existence of the conscious beings through which the universe observes itself.

he was turned when he was 29 (tho this number keeps changing LOL) and he's maybe over 400 neow? ^_^!

Orla

She’s a human mage that went from no magic to being patroned by a very old deity to revive Vol’jin. She cannot return home unless she is successful. Apparently far from the first person her deity has done this to but the others are implied to have kinda…died. Is just trying to roll with the punches but the pressure is getting to her.

T’sangra

A grumpy old green troll and the captain of a horde trade ship. Once upon a time he was quite the ladies man. Took a sword to the face about a decade ago and the wound never quite healed right.

Eril

She’s 58 years old but hasn’t smiled in 50 thanks to a bargain on behalf of her parents to a demon. She currently studies fae magic and enchantments. Is not actually magic herself. Her neighbor is simply an nuisance. Her two adopted sons are her pride and joy and she has and will again murder to keep them safe.

Gohn

Eril’s first son. A troll that ran away from home as a child. She raised him on her small farm on the Eastern Kingdoms but he’s since gone back to Kalimdor with the intention of reconnection with his tribe and proving himself to them as a hunter. He’s a mama’s boy with a very soft spot for cows. Could easily be described as a mom friend.

Sad’iekke (Sadie)

Eril’s second adopted son. A zandalari boy and an ex-priest of Rezan. He’s young, naive, curious, anxious, and has a considerable amount of family trauma to work through but he’s sweet as honey and ultimately just wants to be a really good healer. Too nice for his own good sometimes.

Basha

My Gurubashi troll. He’s an older dude and kind of an ass. He’s got a big voice, has a hot temper, yells a lot, and will start a fight just for fun. His wife poisoned him right before he left for Zandalar. He gets jumped by goblins and left for dead in a ditch. His pride takes the brunt of the damage.

Roma

Was a knight but sustained an injury in her leg and didn’t treat it properly. Now she can’t put weight on it and now uses magic to float around and travels in hopes that she can find a way to fix it. Can’t bear to cut it off. Is fatigued 110% of the time. Is named after the tomato, yes.

Nao

A dragon! Part of the emerald dragonflight. Their dragon form is very Aztec in design. They’re a partier with a deep love for drums and dancing.

Rasmundy

Is a wizard in a similar situation as Orla. Except he’s also a cowboy whose magic staff is just a gun that fires whatever he tells it to. Still looks, sounds, and requires reloading like a normal gun. He’s a real jovial dude who’s just trying to vibe. Mostly a joke character.

Jeanne & Mintawix

A Gnome and a Goblin respectively who are both very in love but very bad with their emotions so they just send each other hateful poems in the mail with bombs attached and call the other their Pen(emy) pal to cope.

I MEAN LIKE. REASONABLY. This is definitely just headcanon, others could have different ideas, and there’s really not a ton to go on considering how bad Blizzard is about sharing the smaller info about lore. 

Considering what Vol’jin says about people entering First Home, I think that the trial is something that can be attempted by anybody - the deciding factor on whether they come out of it alive is up to the loa. Hence Vol’jins musings about Shadow Hunters vs Fools.

However, I could see it being the type of thing where there’s sort of unspoken rules. I’d figure it’d be forbidden for anyone below a certain age to even attempt to enter, but I don’t think that age would be especially high. Probably around the 18 to 21 age range. I say this because trolls seem to age more similar to humans than to elves, so I figure what they consider child/teen/adult would be along the same line.

And like the post said! It’s expressed a lot in The Judgement that Vol’jin is too young to be taking this trial, and heavily implies he’s much too young. He certainly acts a lot like a tween/teenager in the trial, especially when interacting with Zalazane.

I just think it makes Vol’jin all the more interesting to be a young leader. 😊 Adds another layer to his character. Him and Baine are the two baby leaders, essentially!

dude how do you manage you be an artist and a writer AND a mthyic raider/m+??????

my guild only raids 2 days a week and is fairly casual for mythic raiding and then keys vary (I won’t be doing a million like last week lol), but drawing/writing is just a hobby that I squeeze in where I can and very rarely do I sit down and hammer out like super intense/detailed finished stuff aka why my most of my art is just doodles and fics take a million years for me to write lol

for your crowns!! how did u go about designing them?? :0 and do they have a home planet?? 👀👀

I initially designed the crowns as a sort of spooky limber alien species inspired by the Arrival heptapods. I forgot the very first name I used for them (something newschool sci-fi), but ‘crown’ was the second name I chose out of wanting something more memorable. The first picture is the first version I made on Spore.

Coincidentally, the crest design and squinty smile are consistent across all of the revisions! Originally, the “crown” itself was the cartilage around a circular mouth at the top of the head. The extra two limbs on the torso would lift food into it like a crane. I scrapped this idea because I didn’t want to do another hexapodal race.

I base the crowns’ current design off of iguanodons, anteaters and their knuckles, crabs and beavers through their mouthparts, cows, and humans. While not the most “alien” of aliens, their functions differ just slightly enough to function as a living thing.

Their planet, Throne, is similar to Earth in mass and atmospheric content. One notable exception is that the plant life is typically dark, making Earth an unusually bright destination for homeworld crowns.
