Sooo, Marinette, Plagg and Tikki with Adrien, right?
I know that frame with Dog!Felix touching the yo-yo is suspicious, as well as visible lack of it on Ladybug in several shots. However, how dangerous is it? If Ladybug doesn't have a yo-yo, she can't
call for Lucky Charm;
cleanse a butterfly/amok;
connect to Miracle Box/whatever she hides in the "yo-yo dimension".
But temporarily. Once she detransforms and transforms back, the yo-yo is back too: as seen on examples of broken or taken by the villain's power Hawkmoth's cane ('Mayura') and Chat Noir's baton ('Collector'). Would it being stolen make a significant difference that's treated as another scenario/case? If no, it is a matter of inconvenience then, because recovery takes time. And security: she'd need to escape somewhere safe to recharge. In an emergency case it's important. Other than that. Can anyone beside Ladybug access yo-yo's features? That we don't know. The closest to an answer we got is that LB needs to want and voice her "Lucky Charm" command ('Silencer').
That promises to be a cool "team presentation" sequence!
Also, I missed Kagami
Season finale is good payoff with many ties to the previous episodes. I think we might keep looking for the planted seeds and find more and more.
Rn, loosing my mind over Felix - Gang of Secrets - Gabriel Agreste - Strike Back pieces: interesting how Alya and Felix never interact (as civillians, or know each other's identites), but there're still influences, direct or indirect, and the sharing of some knowledge. Plus they both refused an akuma: one - after akumatization, the other prevented it.
Felix
It's notable that one of the victims of Felix's trick (via video) was Alya. Who, while being akumatized, seeked truth (and learning about Felix in the process) after she was hurt by someone she never expected it from. The akumatization is pretty similar in this regard to one from...
Gang of Secrets
Only here Alya also wanted to get her best friend back. She showed she is a friend to LB (just as LB is to her) and was able to resist Shadowmoth. And later:
Ladybug: I think this calls for the master of Illusion. (opens her yo-yo and takes out the Fox Miraculous)
Alya: Woah! How'd you do that?
Ladybug: There have been a few upgrades since I became Guardian of the Miraculous.
Alya: You're Guardian of the- (gasps)
Ladybug: Yeah, keep it on the down low. Not a word about it on the LadyBlog.
Alya: You know I know how to keep a secret.
Gabriel Agreste.
Felix pays attention to the Ladyblog (via video). It doesn't have any super-secret info, but just enough for him to speculate.
Alya: (v.o. from Ladyblog) The Miraculous are magical jewels that give powers to superheroes, like Ladybug's earrings and Cat Noir's ring. But supervillain Shadow Moth also has two Miraculous brooches in his possession, and they will give him his powers. We can figure out from this that the Miraculous can either make a superhero or a supervillain. It's all riding on who wears it, which is why these jewels can't fall into just anybody's hands.
Felix then refuses Shadowmoth's power, saying he doesn't need it. He is a sole player.
Strike Back
Felix is interested in the same thing Alya was:
Felix: Y-Your yo-yo gives you direct access to other Miraculous?
Ladybug: The ones in my Miracle Box, yes. It’s a magic shotcut.
Felix: Wow!
Needless to say, LB trusted Adrien to keep it on the downlow without asking him to.
Later Felix proceeds, forming a plan given the opportunities, and then plants the jewels into Gabriel's hands.
Zoe has a half-sister who belittles and mocks her. And has a mom who is horrible to both daughters. And her stepdad is actually nice towards her. There's also father, but we don't know much of him.
So, is it a reversed-Cinderella? In a way.
Oh, and she stayed in her own shoes instead of fancy ones!
One of the best storytelling practices is actually the good old law of the conservation of energy. Something can neither be created out of nothing, nor disappear into nothing; it changes forms. And only after a while it is possible to understand how great the amount of losses and gains is.
Gabriel doesn't own the ring for good.
Adrien loses the "strings", but his inner ones - that are result of Gabriel restrains, magical and non-magicak, - are still here, not cut.
He, little by little, recognizes them and cuts off.
Before Gabriel gets the ring back.
Getting out of the ring's influence might be important. Slowly but surely learning to speak up (among peers, older people, family, team) and standing firmly isn't any less crucial.
The saga of annoyed by akumas Parisians continues!
