Every Game Needs a Victor | Audun/Kate
It was early when I woke up. /Very/ early.
Slipping out of bed, I have myself a bath and then make up some tea for Kate and I and a bit of oatmeal, something that I like having on cold mornings. Afterward, I slip outside to see when practice for The Games begins, speaking with a friend who's sitting out on his porch and having a smoke.
Satisfied that I haven't any need to rush, I head home again and take a seat on my soft, straw and down mattress to wake up Kate. I lay my lips on her neck, nuzzling a bit and smiling to myself. "Wake up," I tell her, voice softer than usual. "You wouldn't want breakfast to get cold, now would you? Wake up, darling."
