I hit my opponent with Daxos, exiling a whip of erebos. I control a chief engineer (artifact spells I cast have convoke) can I convoke it, color included? Daxos's rulings say I can cast it for alternate casting costs, but I don't know if that counts. Would the same be true with Sen Triplets' ability?
You can’t convoke for the black costs of the whip unless you have black creatures to tap. You’ll be able to tap two creatures to pay for the generic costs of the Whip, though.
