Regarding the latest comic! Because I have 100+ questions in my inbox:

I wanted to knock a few out of the park at once, so that hopefully it doesn’t take up a lot of space and no one feels left out because I didn’t use THEIR ask specifically:

Q: What is the gem’s name?

A: Her name is Moissanite. 

Q: Is that White Diamond?

A: Excellent question! What do YOU think dear reader?

Q: But how did--

A: Read and find out. All will be revealed in due time.

Q: But what about Steven, when will he discover--

A: Read to find out.

Q: I just want to know what actually happ--

A: Read. READ. 

Okay, all jokes aside...

I understand that it’s frustrating that you still do not have all the answers. I’m doing my best to move the plot along in an interesting but coherent manner! That means not info-dumping the entire backstory on you in a single episode. 

As many of you have already begun to suspect from early on, Greg’s trip to the Cosmos, whatever it had or hadn’t been, wasn’t entirely pleasant. I do not want to pretend the storyline there will be flowers and unicorns. There will be a very serious plot involved here. 

When that storyline will come into play, I will tag appropriately as much as I can, I will make sure I warn for things that might stress people out. 

That being said. 

Although I really enjoy you all speculating about what COULD have happened, I would like to gently encourage you to remember that while theories and hypotheticals are all well and good, please do NOT make a dramatic spectacle out of other people’s very real traumatic events in order to add shock value to your own dark ‘what could have happened’ theory. You can theorize all you want, but be aware that the internet IS a public forum and you are not screaming a monologue in a solitary room - you are sharing this space with other real-life WD!AU fans, many of whom are minors and adults alike which come from all walks of life.

And with that out of the way... I look forward to reading all your theories!

What's a terf? ((bonus what does being terfy mean?))

Oh boy. Um!

TERF stands for Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist. 

Which tells us what we need to know, because in essence, that’s what they are. They are self-proclaimed ‘feminists’ which EXCLUDE transgender people from their allyship/support. 

It’s shorthand for being a transphobe. 

Basically they don’t believe that transgender people are a thing, or even if they do, they liken it to a mental illness. They believe that men and women are determined by their genitals and often strongly speak out against trans women specifically, going out of their way to call them ‘men’ and accuse them of being sexual deviants who are simply crossdressing because it’s a fetish. (If you have two brain cells you can click together, you can figure out that this is obviously not true.)

They use this rhetoric to often scare younger queer people, especially younger lesbians, into other harmful beliefs such as the idea that being with (their definition of) a man in any capacity makes them less valid, that femininity is intrinsically tied to their genitals and reproductive organs. 

TERFs are particularly harmful because they purposefully inject themselves into LGBTQ/queer communities to seem like they are on our side, and then spread this type of hatred towards trans people. :/ It’s why many queer folks have a very strong visceral reaction to TERF rhetoric and often do as much as they can to distance themselves from any TERF in order to avoid accidentally spreading MORE of this type of bullshit around.
