i apologize if this is a tiresome question, but is the canary in the goldmine series up to date on ao3? i want to read it, but also don't wan to accidentally miss anything. would it be best to read it on tumblr? thank you :]

Not tiresome at all! The AO3 version is still a little behind the Tumblr version, but not for long. :D Chapter three has been sent to my beta reader, and chapter four is about 85% complete; the most recent Tumblr post for Canary is part of chapter four.

I would recommend reading it on AO3, especially if you don't want to miss anything, because the way I write my stories is a little strange. What I post on Tumblr is just the first draft of scenes I get stuck in my head. I post them partially as a backup/archive for myself and partially to gauge reader reaction.

The AO3 versions, on the other hand, are a coherent (I hope), polished story, often with additional scenes that don't make it onto Tumblr! Chapter three of Canary, for example, has 4,000 words of content that I haven't posted here. And chapter five onwards will be on AO3 only.

VERY first thing that comes to mind when thinking about your art is for SURE beautiful hair and big beautiful eyes. usually bc those are hallmarks of your bdubs design but just generally, all of your characters have these beautiful eyes, stylized in a very unique way, to me. --made-nondescript

How far does the game go? Like, in the story. I'm playing it right now, and I don't know if I've finished it all. I've explored the basement and I haven't found anything to continue forward. It's really good so far! :D

And then of course Nancy Drew and Sherlock holmes but both of those sort of transcend the favorites list.
