@aperturesurvivor liked for a starter!
The more he looked at things in the Cotes Ward the more familiarities he could find; the houses were simple on the outside and layouts just the same, though it was interesting in that the occupants were separated by floor for the most part. More interesting was the place itself- it made him think of Ballonlea without fail, albeit sunnier and with far fewer mushrooms.
But that was a welcome change if you asked him, a well-known fan of all kinds of flora, not just the agricultural sort. It was all a bit fantastical, which served to dull the sting of being essentially kidnapped from his home. The notion of different worlds he could handle easily enough-it was a prevalent theory in a lot of Pokémon research-and the verdant scenery also eased the transition.
He liked to leave the house early not just by habit but so he didn’t run into any crowds, that way he could let Applin get some exercise in without any worry of losing him. The little Pokemon was by no means fast, allowing Milo to walk alongside it without much worry. At least until it toppled over into one of the channels that ran along the walkway and was carried further ahead by the stream and its own momentum. Milo broke into a jog, surprised by how quickly it was moving away. Well, chasing after Pokemon as they rolled off wasn’t entirely unfamiliar, either.
