Baker jailed for assaulting colleague with metal pole

SINGAPORE: A 54-year-old baker was sentenced to a month in jail on Monday (Mar 21) for assaulting his colleague with a metal rod last November. “If you encounter this in future, you must try to get away from it … exercise your control”, the judge told Chelladurai. Chelladurai assaulted Wang Git Han with a metal rod after the fellow baker taunted Chelladurai and challenged him to a fight after a work-related dispute. The bakery’s CCTV camera captured Chelladurai hitting Wang 24 times with the metal rod.
