your paintings are blowing my mind. What kind of training have you had? Are you self taught? Teach me in your ways, O great one!

D’awww! Thank you very much! *hug*My digital painting skills are self-taught, however, I have formal training in other artsy areas.The best piece of advice I can think of right now is: get to know your tools/mediums. The more you practice the easier it gets (simple and boring, I know, but true).Find tutorials BUT don’t just read those tutorials! Open up Photoshop (or whatever program you use) and follow along step by step. If you have to go through the same tutorial more than once to really “get” how a particular tool or technique works then so be it. I rarely understand anything on the first try so don’t be ashamed and most importantly DON’T GIVE UP! Repetition is your friend!
