My final performance on Sabotage ft Brandon’s “mhmm” in the audio I am in the pink crop top & heels (floor was quite slippery) enjoy!
So in a previous post I spoke about pose a show my dad is working on called pose, and another show about vogue and ballroom culture is being made. Interested to see what both have to offer.
I love comics and dancing, this was an interesting combination and Yanis did a great job.
Interesting seeing some of these characters side by side, as I’ve often talked with friends about gender within anime and video games.
As discussed within previous classes we mentioned whether there are certain words people should or shouldn’t say based upon their background. Relating this article to those conversations as a LGBTQ+ POC individual I have heard so many homophobic, transphobic, etc use vernacular that started in ballroom culture. I personally find it incredibly bothersome because it does not sound right. As with my opinion on racial slurs, it doesn’t make sense to use these words if you don’t care for, actively help , are from these the community, etc. In general often times many people want to partake it what is “cool” and “desirable” of a culture, but when it comes to the disparities and injustices communities face they are no where to be found.
Sheacoulee’s response to a “fan” underneath her comments. I am really glad that she spoke out and said nothing but the truth. It is ridiculous how a fan try’s to claim thorgy as being in a sense owner of a hairstyle not even from her culture. Thought I’d share this tea.
A place where queen & reading isn’t referencing shade but lots of fun !
