Sasha Ivanya’s Backstory

Before Strahd renamed The Valley of Barovia, it was something else. Though it’s name was lost, it was Sasha’s home. Forbidden knowledge in the southern mountains would draw the worst kind of evil to conquer it. The Order of the Silver Dragon was founded to protect that knowledge and The Valley from such forces. But then He came.

Strahd Von Zarovich stole The Valley from its people and made it his own. He destroyed The Great Silver Dragon and wiped out The Order. Upon death, Commander Vladimir Horngaard was filled with a supernatural rage raising his army to undeath. But Horngaard was no longer bound to protect The Valley; he existed only to punish Him who had taken it.

Sasha Ivanya served The Order in her undeath, alongside her companion, Felix. She was not a fighter, but her skills of time manipulation were valuable on the battlefield. Hundreds of years passed, and Sasha and Felix saw an entire village decimated at the will of the Lord Von Zarovich.

Sasha no longer remembered her life or the history of her people before He had come. But he would no longer be allowed to take what was hers. With Felix to support her, Sasha attempted the impossible: to rewind time to save the Village of Berez. She failed. She failed so spectacularly that her next memories were walking out of the mists 335 years later…

Sasha is now missing memories from before Strahd as well as some from before being in the mists. And Strahd, himself, seems to have some of her answers…

Sasha’s goal is to uncover the lost history of her home and to take the land back by whatever means necessary.
