I was rewatching Worlds 2021 men's SP and went to look at the protocols and I saw some uh. interesting things. 2 judges gave a 0 to Hanyu's 4S and one gave a 4???? even without looking at the jump and without arguing that he was under/overscored this makes no sense. You mean that his 4S was somehow simultaneously average AND close to perfect? Kolyada getting a 7.25 and a 9.5 in SS like....good and excellent are definitely not the same thing make up your mind.....honestly his entire PCS was a mess you shouldn't have +2 points of difference for the same component like. if I hadn't watch his SP and only looked at the protocols I would've had no idea of what his presentation was like. A judge giving Chen a 9.75 in IN with a fall in his program? I thought a fall was a serious error meaning that PCS was capped at 9.75 for SS/TR/CO and 9.5 for PE/IN? This sport really is just vibes

i find that the less i think about worlds 2021, the better. that entire competition was a mess. i never noticed that a judge ignored the PCS cap for nathan there, good catch

i dont give a fuck anymore. i dont give a fuck that he had a popped jump in the sp and 2 falls in the free, yuzuru hanyu 3x olympic champion. block me if you disagree, im not here to argue. nathan and yuma and shoma dont deserve those sky-high BV, GOEs, or PCS. they didnt them last year or all the years before, and they still dont deserve it now. it's fucking disrespectful that any of them are scoring anywhere near THEE yuzuru hanyu's best. seriously, fuck this entire competition and its manufactured champions. the only redeeming event would be pairs if we get sui/han ogm, but after the clown show the past week has been, im not counting on it

hi! what's ur opinion on Nathan Chen, both from an objective and subjective view? just wondering, no pressure to answer if u don't want to :)

objectively: an nftbro. extremely overscored. to his credit, his IN improved over the seasons, he has the best 4F in the field, and his toe jump tech is decent. but his landings tend to be poor, and his SS and PE have regressed.

subjectively: the isu needs to mail all of his medals to yuzuru. but to be fair, i think the isu needs to give gold, silver, bronze at every competition ever to yuzuru, so this isnt an opinion on nathan specifically

team USA stans are funny bc one moment they're like omg the judges are corrupt, these fifteen year old russian girls are so overscored they're ruining this sport 😡 and then in the next breath they'll exalt NC's manufactured scores and act like judging corruption is a completely unrealistic myth that'd certainly never happen to men's skating
