I recently impulse-bought this old book:
I’ve never read another Leroux book other than PotO and I came across this one by chance and it was quite cheap, so I figured...why not?
Ah yes, those books......>.> <.< definitely his best known works....*psst* you guys ever heard of those before??
Anyway, it begins with a convict nicknamed “The Nut.” Not because he’s insane, mind you, but because you’d bust a nut just looking at him.
Oh...his real name is Raoul, eh? And he’s a young man of good family?? Who else could be in this book...
Hmm...I call this new character “sketchy sex-trafficker Daroga.”
And Cheri-Bibi is Burly Erik who has a thing for Hunky Raoul.
Har har. I see what you did there, Leroux.
Anyhoo, I’m only 20 pages in and no sign of Christine yet. We’ll see if she ever shows up!
