@chernozemic replied: would you like to go back to sleep.
~*~ She blinked slowly and raised an eyebrow. Kaisa was seriously debating it with how little sleep she'd been getting.
"And how would you go about that?"
@chernozemic replied to your post “-> Stares.”:
who are you again.
-> EYE TWITCH.
"Nobody, don't mind me."
It was, perhaps, a sudden request made towards the 12th Division's Captain, but one that - likely - would prove to be interesting enough to indulge a mutual bout of acceptance in each other's presence. For now, he had chosen to come to the Seireitei, as unlikely as it usually was if not for the Captain Commander's wishes or his partner's want to travel around. Alas, the old barrack building and well-known squad grounds would turn out to be the right 'breeding ground' for a new experiment he had yet to truly figure out where to lead.
He knew that everybody in the science department would be just as eager to be a bystander to an abstruse little mental back and forth, as he was eager to finally get some insight on something he would want to change again as soon as he left. Alas, a pointer here or there would be all what he just needed, just wanted [ just desired? ].
Thus Kisuke stands there. In an open, empty space, the slight sounds of mechanical noise [ beeping? humming? buzzing? ] playing somewhere in the back of his mind. Whatever catatonic state of self-reflection he could have flung himself into, deeper and deeper, crawling up inside himself, inside his soul, to tear out what should have never come to light in the first place, it was brushed off with the mere shake of his head. " Kurotsuchi-taichou~ " Ever disregarding the picture he might have presented and given to those assistants and squad members lingering around in the area till their captain had arrived to 'aid' their former one. What a weird little happenstance--- " Let's not stall time, shall we? " --- and truly there was something so off about the usual jovial nature Kisuke would present himself with.
Something so truly, utterly [ broken? ] skewed in the ways he had approached this topic. - ' I would like to request that you give me your input on how to reshape my--- ' - Times and times and times again. Subverting expectations, it was enough for him to curl his lips into a smile. " I know how precious your minutes truly are. " @chernozemic ❤️

" So rude for no reason. I am well aware that you keep watch over my realm as well. "
"do me a favor and show me your "stand"... ugh, please."
the instinctual response to a stranger inquiring about his abilities was a resounding “why would i do that?” —- however, before the words could be fully uttered, the atmosphere surrounding him became veiled in a golden shimmer, manifesting the danger-detecting, sentient stand. its unsettling magenta hues fixated on the man before its user, shielding him behind its golden form, lest this encounter erupt in conflict. becoming the arrow’s chosen had led to giorno somewhat losing control over his own stand, its immediate response to his intuition causing its appearance where he, himself, had not inherently wished for it ; not that it proved detrimental in any capacity, its (and, by extension, his own) assessment often reasonable —- providing protection whenever giorno felt slightly uncomfortable with someone’s presence, his distrust necessitating its materialization.
now, requiem merely stood there, its physique hovering before giorno’s own, its silent judgment perpetuating an uneasy silence, lasting longer than giorno would have preferred. the lukewarm palm of its hand found itself on giorno’s side, its arm slithered around his waist, pushing a leg before his : its body was a barrier between any threat and its user, and it would not step away until giorno’s safety was secure. finally, he spoke, an edge of dissatisfaction to his tone.
“ … and why, pray tell, did you wish to see it? ”
* yanks his hat down over his head like in the cartoons * stop making that face. @chernozemic
(Tries) to avoid it 'gracefully'.
" If you wanted a hat Kurotsuchi-san, you could have just asked! "
Headcanon: Changing of his Eyes
- If someone were to meet Kisuke after the TYBW, there is a fairly distinctive and very obvious change in his appearance.
Instead of seeing both of his usually light grey coloured eyes when someone gets close enough to him to be allowed to take a look, he does have, on his right side, a completely black bionic iris.
Due to his fight with Askin and the loss of consciousness right before he had the strength and means to repair the damage done to his eyes that he was able to use sole for Bankai, both of his eyes got damaged nearly beyond repair when he was picked up by Nelliel and then brought, after everything was done and over with, to the 4th Division for emergency aid. Tearing his body apart as he had done, they did all they could to nurse him back to health and due to courtesy of their abundant skill, one of his eyes was ultimately saved. The other remained lost, no matter what they did [ and by that time, Kisuke didn't want to bother Orihime for help about it ].
That is when Kurotsuchi Mayuri @chernozemic was approached and agreed to help out [ with massive eye-rolling, not like Kisuke was able to see it, obviously ]. The agreement was a pretty easy one: Mayuri gets to treat him however he wanted [ yes staying completely lucid throughout the whole procedure was Kisuke's idea because he wanted to figure out how much pain reaction he had. ] and he gets to keep the damaged eye for research purposes. And, the eye would be black, instead of its natural colour, mostly because it would be distinguishable from the original, defective and "inferior" eye, just to drive a point home.
And yes, he could have requested an eye in his actual eye colour and would have likely gotten it, but frankly didn't want to and saw it as a form of "game" between "old friends". He got to experience a surgery Mayuri performed "first hand" and Mayuri got as repayment whatever he wanted.
The eye itself is a visual aid. Capable of allowing him to see shapes, visions, reiatsu / spiritual pressure, the distance of it, and the power output of it, enhancing his incredible sensitivity [ since Yoruichi's abilities depend on it ] for these fluctuations even more. It can not be damaged as a natural eye could be, but he also does not feel anything in it or around it anymore as much as it would be needed, something he took quite a bit of time to adapt to, being reminded mostly due to that about the obvious change in his appearance.
He's completely okay with the modification and telling him how "horrible" or "sad" it is that this happened to him, is nothing he will understand. He does not want it reversed, changed, adapted or 'healed' in any way, so any notes regarding that are kind of futile and just a waste of time. If you want to get all huffy and >:( about it, don't do it in front of him, he honestly won't care [ he will appreciate the sentiment! but likely tell you it's not needed ]. He also does not want Mayuri to be hassled about how he operated with all of that, because a large - a very exceptionally large - portion of how it was handled came from Kisuke's own side and insistence. This was a mutual agreement they carried out.
That being said, his wife @shigured wasn't too happy about it, not because of how his looks changed, but because "How dare he did that to you." as Shigure can be, but some mild persuasion from Kisuke's side was enough to pacify them again [ and not attempt to tear the scientist's head clean off ]. People are free to comment about it! Especially for those who know how he initially looked and who he lets close enough to get a look at it, it is a very obvious shift when he allows you to see it.
TL;DR: Kisuke has, after the TYBW, a bionic eye that instead of a light grey iris, has a completely black one. That was a mutual consensual project between Mayuri Kurotsuchi and him and he does not care if people think it's "oh so horrible", he's perfectly okay with the change and the enhancement, working with it perfectly fine. Commenting on it is fine! But he will deny any attempts to have it 'healed' or 'changed'.
