Enjoy the complex flavors of this Black Forest Pot Roast, which is made with tender beef cooked with a mix of sweet and savory ingredients like cherries, cocoa powder, red wine, and balsamic vinegar. This dish sounds amazing because it looks like it will melt in your mouth and taste so good.
Ingredients: 3 lbs beef chuck roast. 1 cup beef broth. 1/2 cup red wine. 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup honey. 1 onion, sliced. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp dried thyme. 1 tsp dried rosemary. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 1 cup cherries, pitted. 2 tbsp cornstarch. 2 tbsp water.
Instructions: Put beef chuck roast in a slow cooker. Soy sauce, honey, onion, garlic, thyme, rosemary, black pepper, and cocoa powder should all be mixed together in a bowl. Put the mix on top of the roast. On low heat, cover and cook for 7 to 8 hours, or until the beef is soft. Cherry is added in the last hour of cooking. The roast and cherries should be taken out of the slow cooker when they are done. To make a slurry, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Pour the slurry into the slow cooker and mix it in. This will make the sauce thicker. Cut the roast into pieces and put them on a plate with the sauce. Have fun!
