weekend away || matt sturniolo
“Are you one hundred percent sure, Matt?” I asked, zipping up my weekender bag a little slower than necessary.
“Yes,” he said gently, finishing his own packing. “We saw them feed her, play with her, and put her down for her nap. It’s not even a full two days. She’s going to be completely fine with Chris and Nick.”
It was our anniversary week, and the boys had surprised us with a weekend away in a fancy cabin. Still, separation anxiety was my biggest enemy right now. Leaving Noa behind felt just bad.
“I know… it’s just—” I took a breath, looking at him.
“We don’t have to go,” Matt said immediately.
I met his eyes, and I could see how much he had been looking forward to this. We both needed the break. We both deserved it.
“No,” I said softly, stepping closer to him. “I want to go. You know I do.”
“She’s going to be fine,” he reassured me, kissing the top of my head. “And if we need to, we can come home early. Okay?”
“Okay,” I finally said.
We had already dropped Noa off at Chris and Nick’s and only came back to grab our bags before hitting the road. The drive itself was easy—some quiet moments, some singing along to old songs, and me drifting in and out of sleep with my head against the window.
When we arrived, the cabin took my breath away. Tucked deep in the woods, it felt like the rest of the world had disappeared. There was a lake nearby, perfectly still, and a jacuzzi right outside the cabin, already steaming in the cool air.
We carried in our bags and the groceries we’d picked up along the way.
“Wow,” I said as we stepped inside. “It’s really beautiful.”
The cabin was modern but still warm—wood everywhere, soft lighting, and big windows that let the forest peek in. I could tell Matt loved it just as much as I did.
“It is,” he said, unpacking in the kitchen. “Are you hungry?”
“Mmm, yes,” I said, sliding onto one of the stools at the island. “I really want that bagel with salmon.”
“I’ve got you,” he smirked.
“Thanks, chef,” I winked, watching him move around the kitchen so comfortably. We talked and laughed while he made our food, the tension slowly melting out of my shoulders.
When the bagels were ready, we took them outside to eat. The air was cool, the light soft, and I realized just how happy I felt in that moment—how full my chest felt just sitting across from him.
“This bagel cannot possibly be that good,” Matt laughed, catching my smile.
“No,” I said, meeting his eyes. “But you are.”
He shook his head, smiling as he took our plates inside.
“Hot tub?” he asked.
I nodded.
We changed in the bedroom, and I adjusted the strings of my black swimsuit while looking at myself in the mirror.
“So,” Matt said, raising an eyebrow, “you just woke up today and decided to test how strong I am?”
I smiled innocently. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Where’s the rest of that swimsuit?” he teased, stepping behind me and tying the string at my neck. His lips brushed my shoulder when he was done, sending a shiver down my spine.
“Let’s go,” he said, giving my bum a gentle pat.
By the time we stepped outside, the sky was already darkening. The sunset painted everything in warm colors, and the small lights around the cabin glowed softly, making everything feel unreal—like a secret just for us.
“Mmm, why so far away?” Matt asked, pulling me onto his lap when I tried to sit on the opposite side of the tub.
“Matthew…” I said, glancing around nervously.
“There are no cameras,” he said, reading my mind. He kissed my neck lightly before pulling back with a grin. “But I’ll behave… for now.”
I didn’t answer. I just leaned into him, resting my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes. His arms wrapped around me, warm and familiar, his hand slowly caressing my back. I felt myself finally relax.
“Thank you for convincing me to come,” I murmured. “We really needed this. Even just the conversations in the car… at lunch. I missed that.” I smiled softly against his neck. “I love you, Matt.”
I felt him shiver, and it made me smile.
“I love you” he said, kissing the top of my head. “And yeah—it’s nice not talking in baby voices, or about poop colors, or repeating ‘DADA’ a hundred times.”
“You literally cried when she said it,” I teased.
“I did,” he laughed. “And I’ll probably cry again when I finally get to take this thing off you tonight.” He tugged lightly at one of the strings and let it snap back.
“You’re so stupid,” I laughed.
“You love it,” he said, smiling—and he was right.

cw: making out
“Here… Noa, look at me,” I said gently, crouching down and making the silliest face I could manage. I crossed my eyes, puffed out my cheeks, and she immediately burst into a bright smile that made my heart melt.
I lifted the camera just in time and snapped a few photos of her and Matt standing in front of his mom’s Christmas tree. The tree glowed warmly behind them, filled with ornaments collected over years. The soft lights reflected in Noa’s eyes, and for a moment everything felt unreal, like a perfect little holiday card come to life.
I carefully put Nick’s camera away and stepped closer, wrapping one arm around Matt and pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek.
“You guys should go to the movies with Chris and Nick,” Marylou said as she walked into the room.
I looked at her, then back at Matt. We had never really left Noa alone before—not without one of us nearby.
“Are you sure?” I asked softly, unable to hide the hesitation in my voice.
“I’m sure,” she said with a reassuring smile. “I handled three kids at once back in the day. I think I’ve got this.” She reached for Noa, and the second she was in her arms, our daughter relaxed completely, smiling and snuggling into her chest like that was exactly where she belonged.
“Oh—no, I know,” I said quickly, shaking my head. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like I was doubting you. We’ve just… never left her before. Not without one of us.”
Marylou nodded, understanding immediately.
I felt a wave of gratitude wash over me. Being here for Christmas, seeing Noa surrounded by family, seeing how loved and protected she was—it made my heart feel so full it almost hurt.
“I’ve got her,” Marylou said confidently. “I’ll feed her, bathe her, put her to bed. She’s a good sleeper. We’ll be perfectly fine.”
I smiled and looked at Matt. He nodded back at me, squeezing my hand.
“Alright,” I said softly.
“Thanks, Mom,” Matt said, leaning in to hug them both.
I couldn’t help myself—I lifted the camera again and took another picture. One day Noa would see these photos and know how deeply loved she had always been.
“Go get dinner,” Marylou added. “Take a walk. Just… go enjoy a night to yourselves.”
We got ready quickly, bundling up against the cold, and slipped out of the house. We texted Nick and Chris that we’d meet them at the cinema later, then decided to walk downtown first. Our hands found each other naturally, fingers interlacing like they always did. It felt so nice—simple, quiet, familiar.
The streets were glowing with Christmas lights, wrapping the city in warmth despite the cold.
“Are you okay?” Matt asked, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me closer.
“I am,” I said honestly, resting my head against his shoulder. “I’m really glad we did this.”
“Me too,” he laughed softly. “Sometimes I forget we’re not forty and boring.”
I smiled because he was right. Between work, travel, and having a baby, it often felt like we’d skipped a chapter and gone straight into responsibility.
Snow began to fall gently, slow and quiet. I stopped walking and looked up, watching the flakes drift down.
“Wow,” I breathed.
“We never get this in LA,” Matt said, grinning. “God, I love Boston.” He suddenly stopped, spun me around, and I laughed, my boots crunching softly against the snow.
“But I love you more,” he said, cupping my face with both hands.
I melted instantly, my hands resting against his chest as he leaned in and kissed me. It was slow and warm, the kind of kiss that felt like home.
“I love you too,” I whispered when we pulled back.
We walked a little longer before heading into a cozy Italian restaurant. The place was warm and dimly lit, filled with quiet chatter and the smell of garlic and fresh bread. We shared two different pastas and split dessert, laughing like we had all the time in the world.
We went back to the car after dinner. The heater hummed low, but the warmth building between us had nothing to do with it. Matt didn’t start the engine right away. Instead, he just looked at me—really looked at me—and the intensity of it made my pulse jump.
“We still have time,” he said again, softer now, like it was just for me.
I swallowed, my fingers tightening around my coat as I shifted closer. His hand found my thigh almost immediately, warm and steady, not moving at first—just there. The restraint alone made my breath hitch.
“You always do this,” I murmured.
“Do what?” he asked, leaning in just enough that I could feel his breath on my lips, but not enough to kiss me.
“Act like you don’t know exactly what you’re doing.”
He smiled slowly, knowingly, and then finally closed the distance. The kiss was unhurried, deep, and deliberate—like he was taking his time on purpose. I melted into it, my hands sliding up his chest, fingers curling into his jacket as if anchoring myself.
When he pulled back, it was only an inch. “I know,” he said quietly. “I just like watching you unravel.”
Heat rushed through me as his lips traced along my jaw, down the side of my neck, lingering there. I tilted my head without thinking, giving him silent permission, my breath turning uneven.
“Matt…” I whispered again, my voice barely there.
His hand slid to my lower back, holding me close, grounding and possessive in the most comforting way. “God,” he murmured, “I missed this. I missed you like this.”
The car felt smaller, filled with shared breaths and soft sounds neither of us tried to stop. Every touch felt familiar but charged, like muscle memory layered with something new and electric.
When we finally pulled apart, I was breathless, cheeks warm, heart racing.
“That was cruel,” I said. “You know that, right?”
He grinned, brushing his thumb gently over my lip, his eyes dark and full of promise. “You loved every second.”
I did—and he knew it.
Reluctantly, we fixed ourselves, stealing lingering looks that said later without needing to speak.
“Okay,” I said finally, sliding back into my seat. “Let’s go watch SpongeBob before I change my mind.”
He laughed softly, starting the car—but his hand found mine instantly, fingers lacing together.
At the theater, I realized it was just us, the boys, and a few friends.
“Sometimes I forget you’re rich,” I teased.
“You love it,” he said.
I rolled my eyes, smiling.
Later, Marylou sent us a picture of Noa fast asleep in her crib, cuddling the bunny Jellycat Chris had given her.
“She’s so cute,” Mikayla said. “You guys should just keep making babies.”
I laughed. “Maybe one day. Not anytime soon.”
“We’re getting a cat though,” Matt added.
“Maybe,” I said—until he gave me that look, the one that told me my answer was already decided.

cw: suggestive
I stretched slowly as I began to wake up. It was Saturday, but since having the baby, sleeping in didn’t really exist anymore—so I knew it was still early. Don’t get me wrong, Noa was doing great now. She slept through the night most days and we moved her into her own room, something Matt loved.
I reached for my phone and checked the monitor app. She was still asleep. 6:32 a.m. Not bad. I’d probably gotten around five hours of sleep, mostly because someone did not let me sleep much last night.
It had been Friday, and since neither of us had work today, we’d planned a quiet, romantic dinner at home after Noa went to bed. One thing led to another, and let’s just say we stayed up much later than planned.
My body still felt pleasantly tired as I remembered passing out almost instantly after the quick shower we’d taken together. I was still naked beneath the sheets, Matt’s arm wrapped securely around me as I turned to look at him.
His face was soft and peaceful in sleep. I smiled, a familiar warmth filling my chest as I thought about how lucky I was.
“I know you’re staring at me,” he murmured, his eyes still closed.
“Good,” I whispered. “I’m not even trying to hide it.” I leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to his shoulder.
He opened his eyes and kissed the top of my head.
“Hi,” he said quietly.
“Good morning,” I replied with a smile.
His hand moved slowly along my side, sending a soft shiver through me.
“How did you sleep?” he asked, looking at me with those blue eyes I could happily get lost in.
“Really well,” I said. “I was exhausted.”
“I wonder why,” he teased lightly, brushing a strand of hair away from my face.
I smiled. “How about you?”
He pulled me just a little closer. “I woke up thinking about you,” he said softly, his voice still low and warm with sleep.
“Matt…” I felt my cheeks heat, even now.
“I love that,” he said gently. “That you still blush like that with me.”
“She’s going to wake up soon,” I reminded him, resting my hands against his chest.
“I know,” he said. “I just want to kiss you.”
He did—slow, unhurried, full of affection. I kissed him back, my eyes closing as I tangled my fingers in his hair. He held me close, steady and warm, like he always did.
These were my favorite moments—quiet, unspoken, wrapped in love before the day truly began.
Almost as if on cue, soft sounds came through the monitor. Noa’s happy little babbles filled the room.
“I love you,” he whispered, resting his forehead against mine.
“I love you too,” I smiled. “And it’s your turn to get her.”
He laughed quietly, kissed me once more, and slipped out of bed. After pulling on his pajama pants and shirt, he headed down the hall to get our daughter.
what’s the last tantrum noa threw ☹️
“Noa, come on,” I said, trying to give her some Tylenol.
She was teething and hadn’t slept at all that night. She’d been crying and restless for hours, rubbing her tiny fists against her cheeks and whining every few minutes.
“Baby, open up,” I tried again, but she just wiggled in my arms, turning her head away and refusing to let me put the syringe anywhere near her mouth.
Matt walked into her room then, looking just as exhausted as I felt. His hair was messy and his eyes half closed, but he held her favorite stuffy in his hand—the little duck he’d gone downstairs to find.
“Here, baby girl, I found your ducky.” He tried to hand it to her, but she only grabbed it for a second before tossing it straight onto the floor.
I took a slow, tired breath.
“Hold her, please. I need to somehow give her the meds,” I said, carefully handing Noa to Matt.
I already knew he wouldn’t force it if she cried too much. He was too soft with her for that. So it had to be me.
When he held her still against his chest, I quickly managed to slip the syringe into her mouth and push the medicine in before she could turn away again. She whined and made a dramatic face, but at least it was done.
I sank down into the feeding chair afterward and opened my arms so Matt could hand Noa back to me.
I had almost stopped feeding her like this, but I knew this would comfort her.
As soon as I brought her close to my chest, she immediately started drinking, her little body relaxing against me. Slowly, the room grew quiet, the earlier crying fading away.
Matt watched us for a moment, his expression soft. Then he stepped closer and gently brought his hand up to caress my cheek.
“Thank you for doing this…” he said quietly.
“You’ll pay for the boob job one day. It’s alright,” I joked, and he just shook his head at me with a tired smile.
“She should sleep with us tonight, just in case,” I whispered, noticing how her eyes were already closing as she finally drifted off in my arms.
Matt nodded. He bent down and picked up her sleep sack and the ducky from the floor before turning back to us, watching quietly for a moment as she slept against my chest.

"Literally its just me, you and Chris here, it does not need to look good baby" Matt said after I was changing placement of the strawberries on my board.
"That's why I hope Nick is going to actually join us because he is the only one who appreciate my snack boards" I looked at him while opening cupcakes.
"Hey... I love them do not listen to anything he says y/n!" Chris came from downstairs and intimately took one of the cupcakes.
I hit his hand gently and narrowed my eyes at him.
"Are you being for real now? Can I finish this at peace? Go put the tv on or do whatever or I am going to eat it alone" I looked at both of them.
'Yes, ma'am" Chris put his hands up for defense and took one last cupcake.
"I love love love you" He laughed and run to the couch before I could yelled at him.
"I feel like a mother of three in this house, I swear" I said and Matt just laughed.
"That would do it....considering how you like to call me daddy" He winked at me and I rolled my eyes but my cheeks went red.
"Go away Matthew" I said going back to working on my snacks.
"Just give me one raspberry and a kiss and I am gone" He came closer to me and wrapped his arms around me.
" I hate you" I said and picked up one of the berries and raised it to his lips.
"You love me..." He smiled, ate the berry and kissed my cheek before he went to his room.
"I am actually going to throw up because of you two" Chris said from the couch with grimace on his face.
"You should actually find a girlfriend so I can have a best friend to talk shit about you and Matt" I said finishing up.
"Thats why it is not going to happen...One of you here is enough and it’s not like you’re already talk shit about us with Nick" He joked.
I took my phone out to take pictures of the board. I tried different angles so it would look good.
"See how this is not fair because is three of you here and I need to handle that all by myself" I laughed and brought the board to the coffee table when I was done with pictures.
" Aw it looks so cute y/n! I would say I do not even care if Celtics will win anymore but that would be a lie" He said.
"Thanks Chris. Grab some drinks? I am going to change, Matt is making me wear green." I laughed and went to Matt's room.
Matt was on his bed doing something on his phone.
"Okay... I am done and I can wear whatever you said you have for me" I said closing the doors behind me.
"Yey... so I bought you shorts so you could match my jersey" He said and took out the nike shorts from the bag that was sitting on his desk. He was so exited about it that it put smile on my face.
That made me want to scream and shout. I can't believe that boy is mine. He was the cutest. He was already wearing the jersey with number 9. He looked so good in green and his hair was super fluffy today. I could eat him here and there.
"Matt you are unreal, I love you, did you know that? Thank you" I took the shorts from him.
"I love you too, sweet girl" He smiled at me.
I smiled back and took my black sweatpants and matching hoodie off. I had white top and black lacy panties on.
"I might want you to actually stay in this...." Matt said and sat back down on his bed looking at me.
"Yes... I don't know, you always rip them of me and then I am waiting for my favorite time of the year when Victoria does 10 pairs for 35 bucks" I winked at him and slid the shorts on.
They were a little too big for me but that was good. I loved the cute little clover on the front.
"I love this team only for the colors and the clover" I said and walked to my boyfriend.
"Mhm... I think I start to love them for that too" He smiled up at me and pulled me even closer between his legs.
He kissed my skin just over the waistband and I smiled how my body right away reacted with a goosebump. I ran my hand through his hair.
"Come here..." He pulled me down a little so I straddle him.
"Matt the game is starting soon and I am pretty sure that Chris already ate half of the snacks..." I started but he kissed my neck gently.
"Shh...." He said and I bite my bottom lip slightly tilting my neck.
"You just smell and look so good baby" He said and gave my neck one more kiss before connecting our lips together. I scratched back of his neck before I put one of my hands on his cheek while the other wondered up to his hair while we make out for what it seemed like forever. I was lost in his touch when Chris yelled at us that hame is about to start.
"Ugh...fine" Matt laughed and moved away a little.
"You look hotter than me in this jersey Matt..." I said fixing his hair a little.
" See we are just made for each other" He patted my bum so I stood up from him and fixed my own hair as well.
Chris yelled one more time adding that he is going to eat all of the snacks.
"Honestly I would rather eat something else right now"m…” Matt smiled at me when I opened the doors.
"Same man... but well… we promised Chris a dudes weekend" I laughed and walked out of the room.
"See thats why I hate living with them sometimes...." He said walking behind me.
We joined Chris in the living room to watch the game. I posted some phots of my board and the fit on my account as we enjoyed the winning of the team.
first fathers day || matt sturniolo
dad!matt x mom!reader
I tried to sneak out of bed so Matt wouldn’t wake up. I muted the monitoring app on his phone so it wouldn’t alert him when Noa woke up. We were back home in LA, and this time it was my turn to make the day special for him—just like he did for me on Mother’s Day.
I had asked Chris to drop off flowers early that morning, and I’d ordered everything I needed to make Matt’s favorite breakfast. Everything was already waiting at our front door. I had about an hour before our daughter woke up, so I needed to start cooking.
I brought the groceries and flowers inside and got straight to work. I made fresh French toast, slicing strawberries and bananas and placing them carefully next to blueberries. I poured maple syrup into a small glass jar and arranged everything neatly on a tray. I dusted the toast with powdered sugar, added a glass of orange juice, and placed a small gift box next to the plate and flowers.
Inside was a Vivienne Westwood chain and a ring engraved with Noa’s name on the inside.
I checked the monitor on my phone—Noa was starting to wiggle in her crib. She’d be up any second.
I carried the tray upstairs and placed it quietly on the bookshelf near our bedroom door before heading into Noa’s room.
“Good morning, sunshine,” I whispered.
She grinned instantly, dropping her pacifier and babbling happily.
“Are you going to wake up Daddy with kisses?” I smiled. “But first, we need to put your cheesy outfit on.”
I opened the curtains and turned off the noise machine. I lifted her out of the crib and kissed her cheeks.
“Oh, I know—you’re hungry too,” I laughed as she tried to crawl under my shirt.
“First, we get ready.”
I laid her on the changing table, changed her diaper, and dressed her in a pink Daddy’s Princess outfit.
“Oh, he’s going to love this,” I laughed, placing a tiny bow in her hair.
“I can’t believe you’re almost one, Noa,” I whispered, lifting her into my arms again.
“Let’s go wake up Daddy with breakfast—and then you get yours.”
Matt was still asleep in the same position I’d left him in. Noa squealed when she saw him, wiggling excitedly in my arms.
I gently placed her on his chest. He instinctively wrapped his arms around her as she pressed her tiny hands against his face.
I grabbed the tray and set it on his nightstand.
“Good morning,” I said softly, sitting beside him.
“Mmm… morning,” he smiled, finally opening his eyes.
“What a wake-up,” he murmured, sitting up and kissing Noa’s head.
“Oh honey,” he whispered, eyes softening. “Look at your outfit—you’re so cute.”
I swear his eyes filled with tears. He was such a softie when it came to her.
“Happy Father’s Day,” I said, kissing his cheek.
“We made you breakfast.”
He looked at the tray and smiled wide.
“Oh… that’s so sweet. Thank you, baby.”
I took Noa from him so he could eat, sitting cross-legged beside him and feeding her.
“This is so good,” he said. “I love when you make homemade French toast.”
I smiled and brushed his hair away from his forehead.
“Anything for you—especially today.”
He held out a fork for me. “Why didn’t you make a plate for yourself?”
“I forgot,” I laughed. “I figured I’d be feeding Noa anyway.”
“And what’s this?” he asked, opening the gift box. “You didn’t have to—”
He froze.
“These are beautiful,” he said quietly, slipping the ring on. He leaned in and kissed me.
I kissed him back—and Noa immediately slapped his cheek.
I burst out laughing. “Dada, you forgot we have a jealous one in this house.”
“I love you just as much as I love your mama,” he laughed, kissing her little feet.
We stayed in bed, talking and eating together. Later, he got ready while I stayed with Noa, then we switched.
“Okay,” I said once we were dressed. “Me and Noa are taking you on a little road trip.”
“What?” he blinked. “Where?”
“I’m not telling you. You’ll find out.”
“And I invited Nick and Chris,” I added. “They wanted to spend the day with you too.”
“Perfect,” he laughed. “All my babies.”
After picking up Nick and Chris, Chris turned to Matt with a grin.
“So… we got you something.”
He pressed a button, and a garage door opened.
“No fucking way,” Matt breathed.
“Did you just get him a Corvette?” I gasped.
Matt stared at the car, then his brothers, smiling in disbelief.
“I mentioned this car once,” he said. “I never thought—thank you.”
He hugged them both.
Later, we piled back into our car and drove south.
We took him—and Noa—to the San Diego Safari Park. Matt had always loved it and dreamed of taking Noa there. Watching him show her the animals, pointing excitedly, made my chest ache in the best way.
Nick took photos nonstop. Chris and I demolished snacks.
“Look, baby—that’s us!” Matt said, pointing at a giraffe family.
“And those are your stupid uncles,” he laughed, gesturing at two giraffes play-fighting.
I swear—I had baby fever all over again.
That night, we stayed in the glamping area. After Noa fell asleep, Matt pulled me onto his lap by the fire.
“I love you,” he whispered. “Today was perfect.”
“You deserve everything,” I said softly. “You’re the best dad—and the best person I know.”
He laughed. “I still can’t believe you guys got me a sports car. Is a car seat even going to fit in there?”
Chris snorted. “Dude… you’re such a dad.”
I rested my head on Matt’s shoulder and smiled.
