THEY REALLY WERE! The little orange kitten was sleeping on my brother when we had to leave and when the attendant picked him up and set him down so bro could get up, the kitten just jumped back on his lap and tried to go back to sleep. It was soooo cute ;o;

I’m p. sure the jail scene is more revealing. Honestly, I think Velvet’s outfit would have been approved by like 100% if it didn’t include the sideboob and can’t be called shorts shorts actually covered the area where realisticly pubic hair would be showing. It would have at leasf been more passable then. I’m just not looking forward to having to see it in every non customizable scene.

Right? ~_~ Like most of us aren’t even really asking for it not to be “sexy” or whatever, we just want it toned down. Give the poor girl a real bra and shorts that couldn’t be mistaken for panties and we’re FINE. she can show all the leg and cleavage she wants otherwise, just.... please... something functional...............

I mean, I guess its bad in its own way considering Tales of females costumes arent usually that revealing. I think I’ll be more focused story then the outfit

usually I’m pretty good at ignoring it too (see: Milla, Judith, Rondoline, Sara, Alisha, Muzet, Presa) but it’s just the sheer... impossibility of Velvet’s outfit that bothers me so much. I can’t stand looking at it even in the current promo material and I know I would be distracted by how impractical it is while I play so like... I’m glad there’s day one DLC for me but it really sucks that I even need to pay for a costume just to not be thinking “how are her boobs not falling out” at all times, you know? >_>

my desire for berseria has fluctuated so violently since its announcement. >_> unfortunately i already locked in for a preorder (of both the game and velvet’s far superior pirate dlc so i can play the game without cringing lmaO) but i’m almost dreading it.

zestiria was such a big disappointment, even going into it with no expectations and i’m just desperately hoping berseria won’t be anything like it, lmfao.

not to mention that with it being her default outfit, it’s what we will see in skits, status pics, anime cutscenes, etc. changing the costume to a DLC one won’t fix those

Yeah, I would not care at all if it was DLC. Or like, maybe that’s what she had to wear in the prison (unfortunate implications about that prison then, but), but then she changes her outfit once she’s out and free, like how Jude goes from his med student uniform to his default gear in Xillia. I’d be fine with that, too.

YES that would be totally acceptable. Something like that + getting it later as an extra costume through a sidequest would be just fine. 

(iirc I think she’s in something even MORE revealing in that jail scene? ugggggggh. 9_9)

Since its Tales of, won’t she get a different costume anyway?

Earlier today I actually reblogged a post regarding reactions to the DLC costumes that have already been announced for her--which are BOTH much better (even the swimsuit one >_>). 

However, the fact that her default outfit is so bad is what people are disappointed with. I (and many others I’ve spoken to) wouldn’t really mind if it was just a DLC or in-game optional side costume and her actual outfit was something more practical... but the fact that that dysfunctional “sexy” disaster is her default canon outfit is pretty gross.
