Honkai Star Rail: Cherry Artemis

I drew myself as a honkai star rail character, and I combined the two things that make the most sense for me: a Halovian (who canonically have good voices) and the Xianzhou style (Asian/Chinese esque). I also wanted to try making a splash art of her, so that’s what I did.

See her as an outworlder who left Penacony due to the harsh work environment and competition. Penacony is all glitz and glam, and the entertainment industry is the most fierce. So she left to find a new home for a better chance at work and her passions. Thus, she found herself on the Xianzhou Luofu.

(I did the Penacony side quest with Cocona and got a feeling that the Penacony work force is rather high maintenance, strict, and very appearance based. And the performing arts field is even more fierce. So this was my excuse to put Cherry in the Xianzhou clothing.)

For a job, she works at the tea house in Aurum Alley. In her free time, she’s singing or wandering the Luofu. Attracts a lot of attention for being an obvious outsider (Halovian after all), both positive and negative.

Here she is without the splash art. If you study her closely, you can see I tried to add outfit elements from the Halovian performer npcs. The skirt style with the side opening, the charm on the opening, gold chains coming from the charm, the waist cincher, drapery over the right hip, arm coverings (the arm sleeves = ballroom gloves), neckline mimicry, and the decoration on her chest is the charm used on the skirt slit on the npcs.

Style September - Final Styles

Day 22 - Bungou Stray Dogs

DEFINITELY one of my favorite styles of the month.

Day 23 - Adventure Time

Feel like I could have done better. But whatever

Day 24 - JaidenAnimations

Started doing animators at this point.

Day 25 - Emirichu

This was a fun one. Emirichu’s style is very much anime. Slightly chibi and very soft and round. Very fun.

Day 26 - GinjaNinjaOWO

I LOVE June’s style. Both their former and current styles. I decided to go with their current, more colorful and bright style. It’s a very unique style, and I had fun watching it come together.

Day 27 - GingerPale

I love Gingy’s coloring. We’re both suckers for bright colors. And I had to add a background

Day 28 - Illymation

I love the subjects she chooses to talk about in her videos. It’s very bold, and I deeply respect her for it.

Day 29 - Overly Sarcastic Productions

I love mythology, and I adore Red’s chibi style in her videos. Check out Red and Blue for Mythology and History.

Day 30 - Cherry Artemis (My Style)

Omg it felt SO GOOD to draw in my style after so long. It was a relaxing way to finish up the challenge.

Halovian Cherry

Ngl, Honkai is slowly getting to me. With the release of 2.2, I did a bit of binging and have come to love the Halovian siblings (and a few others). So I drew myself as a Halovian. Maybe I’ll do Vidyadhara next.

My halo design. Normal, I have a crescent moon around my left eye. I decided to translate the moon into my halo instead.
