Lando suddenly stands up. He reaches for Oscar, gently wrapping a hand around his fingers, cradling them in his palm. It’s oddly reminiscent of their positions in the club that December night, except it’s really not like that at all. There’s no heat, only warmth, as Lando looks earnestly into Oscar’s eyes and gives his fingers a reassuring squeeze. “Then we’ll do it together,” he says firmly, like it’s not even a question. Like he doesn’t even have to think about it. Oscar lets out a shaky breath, squeezes back. “Together.” - The unspoken thing between Lando and Oscar finally culminates in a night of celebration, but what comes after is far more than either of them expected.
for @oscfest the event that finally pushed me to turn my chaotic bullet points and scraps of dialogue into a full-fledged story. over the last few months this has sorta become my baby (lol), as it's the first fic i've written in five or so years. i understand this isn't for everyone, but if you do read it, i hope you enjoy <3
