"Mommy?" Sophie poked YN's arm, "Mommy, wake up."
YN groaned and covered her head with the pillow, "Go ask your father, honey. Mommy needs more sleep."
Sophie pouted, walked around the bed to Dean, and poked his arm a few times, "Daddy, wake up. Please?"
Dean rubbed his eyes and yawned, "Sophie? What's up?"
"He didn't come..." she mumbled.
"Who didn't come, Soph?"
A tear ran down the little girl's face, "Santa. He didn't come this year."
Dean sat up in bed, "What? What do you mean he didn't come?"
"There's no presents under the tree," she sniffed and wiped her eyes, "And my stocking is empty."
All of a sudden, the realization hit Dean in the face as his eyes went wide and his mind raced with panic. He turned and looked at his sleeping wife, then turned back to his daughter.
"Oh, jeez," he whispered, "Um, Sophie, I bet Santa...hid your presents somewhere in the Bunker. Why don't you go wake Uncle Sammy and see if he'll help you look for them?"
"Okay," Sophie nodded, "Maybe Santa wanted to play Hide and Seek with the presents. I'll go wake Sammy!"
She ran out of the room as Dean leaned over and shook YN's shoulder. She groaned and pulled the covers towards her face.
"YN, wake up. I'm serious," Dean spoke.
She sat up and squinted her eyes, "Oh, man. My head is killing me."
He turned her head to face him, "Honey, we fucked up."
"In what way?"
"We got drunk last night and passed out before putting Sophie's presents from Santa under the tree. She thinks he didn't come."
YN's eyes went wide, "Shit. What do we do?"
Dean grabbed his phone and started texting Sam, "I'm telling Sam what happened and he needs to keep Sophie occupied for a bit."
"Her presents are in the garage in the trunk of one of the cars," YN explained, "I'll go grab them while you fill her stocking."
"I told her Santa probably hid them. How do we explain that part?"
"Easy. Just tell her we found them first."
Dean looked at his phone as it buzzed in his hand. He opened it and read the text from Sam: Next time, don't drink on Christmas Eve. I have her at the other end of the bunker, you have 10 minutes.
He kissed YN's cheek, "We've got to hurry."
They jumped out of bed and quickly got to work. YN tossed on her robe as Dean threw on his hoodie. They quietly jogged out of the room and towards the garage.
Once inside, YN opened the trunk of the closest car. Dean grabbed the bag filled with Sophie's stocking items and ran back inside.
YN started stacking boxes so she could carry them easily inside the Bunker. She closed the trunk and grabbed the boxes.
As Dean finished filling his daughter's stocking, YN ran inside with the boxes.
"Thank goodness we already wrapped these, Dean," YN was panting as she ran up to him.
He took a box and set it under the tree, "I can't believe we passed out last night. I feel so bad."
"We can't do that again, Dean. I know we've had a rough few days, but drinking like that isn't healthy," YN explained to him.
"You're right. Maybe we just have one drink next time and then find something else to occupy our time," Dean winked.
YN smacked his arm, "You're such a flirt."
"Nah. I just love you is all," he kissed her.
"Well, I just happen to love you back," YN chuckled.
They heard footsteps running down the hallway and quickly finished putting the presents under the tree. Sophie and Sam walked into the library just as YN and Dean finished.
"You found them!" Sophie smiled, "Where were they?"
YN and Dean exchanged a look, both shrugging to each other and not knowing what to say. They looked to Sam, who also shrugged, in hopes he'd give them an answer.
"Well, Soph, Mommy and I looked around outside and I think Santa just had a hard time getting into the Bunker," Dean explained to his daughter.
Sophie crossed her arms, "I told you we should keep the door unlocked for him, Daddy."
Dean rolled his eyes, "What, I'm the bad guy for wanting to keep us safe? I thought I was the hero."
"You are," Sophie ran up to him and hugged his legs, "'Cause you're the best Daddy in the whole world," she turned and hugged YN's legs, "And you're the best Mommy in the world."
Dean looked up at Sam, mouthing a Thank you to him and received a nod in return. YN nodded to Sam as well.
"Well, are you going to wait until New Years or are you going to see what Santa brought you?" Dean asked.
Sophie ran over to the tree and started tearing the wrapping paper off one of the boxes. YN, Dean and Sam watched her open present after present.
"We got lucky, Dean," YN whispered.
He kissed her forehead, "We really did, didn't we?"
While they were talking to each other, Sophie squealed as she pulled out a Nintendo Switch. She stood up and jumped around in excitement while her parents and uncle chuckled at her enjoyment.
"That was nice, Dean. You knew she wanted one of those badly," YN whispered.
Dean turned to her, "I didn't get her that. I thought you did."
She shook her head, "No," she looked at Sam, "Did you get it?"
"No, I got her some stuffed animals," Sam spoke.
They all stared at each other in shock before turning back to Sophie, who was still celebrating her Christmas present.
"Santa got me what I wanted!" she yelled out.
"Yeah, he, uh, he sure did, honey," YN said with a hint of confusion.
