After the try-outs, Jungkook helps pick up the floor. Taehyung (one of the other dancing leaders who was an hour late, in addition to supporting these mysterious marks on his neck) was supposed to stay behind but ended up with "important life-changing" business to attend to. "They're always leaving their garbage," Jimin comments as he glances at a spilled Gatorade bottle, sweat dripping down his forehead. "I don't want to ban drinks, but this is ridiculous." Grabbing an empty, crushed water bottle, Jungkook silently agrees. He's not sure if the water staining the floor is from a bottle or a body, but nevertheless, the janitor's going to have a fit. Jungkook freezes when a nose suddenly touches his neck, sniffing his scent. Perhaps if they were five or actually friends he'd be okay with it. However, they're neither. Feeling a tired growl begin to rumble in his chest, Jungkook turns around, forcing himself to keep eye contact with the school's favorite Alpha. "Jimin, for the last time, I'm fine!" "You smell sick," Jimin counters, eyes flicking down his collarbones to his waist. He licks his lips, staring at the bruise forming on Jungkook's leg, and all at once things make sense. "You're not licking my wounds," Jungkook flicks his tail against Jimin, hoping he snaps out of whatever daydream he's in. When they were in the middle of try-outs, Jimin had first showed off his impressive backflips and acrobatic shit before explaining the piece they'd be learning. While the other teens were focusing on the new moves to practice and perfect in hopes of making the team, Jungkook had given himself space, took a deep breath, and attempted a backflip. If Jimin can do it, Jungkook is more than capable of doing it, too. A pained whine had escaped his lips when he'd landed on his back, the embarrassing sound echoing throughout the room. Jimin was by his side in less than a second, nose poking Jungkook's throbbing skin, hysterical with worry. "Jungkook, are you okay?!" he kept asking, hands cupping Jungkook's cheeks, slapping them when Jungkook shut his eyelids. By then, everyone in the room was gathered around them, watching Jungkook groan and nod his dizzy head. "Poor baby," Taehyung had clicked his tongue, bending down to pat Jungkook's head, further worsening the pain. "Jungkookie's got himself a boo boo." Since that occurrence, Jimin kept an eye on him at all times. When Jungkook stumbled over a difficult spin, Jimin was right there to help him. If he asked to get water, Jimin would follow him out and watch him get his fill. It's just another memory, Jungkook's beginning to think. When they were younger, if Jungkook hurt himself, Jimin would make a nest consisting of blankets, towels, pillows, and clothes and cuddle with Jungkook. Sometimes he would be quite forceful as he'd lick the wound, from bruises to gashes, sniffing it to make sure there wouldn't be infection. Then afterwards they would kiss and kiss, eat cookies, then they'd bathe together in a bubbly bath- "I wasn't planning on it." From Jimin's tiny smile, Jungkook knows that he's lying. Instead of feeling irritated, Jungkook holds back from smacking him on the shoulder. "Uh huh, sure." Grabbing the last of the trash, Jungkook heads out of the studio in search of a trash can. There's one beside the vending machine, and he's quick to throw the trash away and dig in his pockets for change. There's enough to buy a bottle of Coke, and he enters the now clean studio with the bottle against his lips. He almost spits it out when he hears the sensual music playing from the speakers and Jimin swinging his hips, eyes closed, fully focused on the music. It's a song meant for Omegas, Jungkook knows for a fact, staring at Jimin's ass. Alphas don't sway their hips like that when they dance. Curiosity has him placing the bottle on the floor and approaching the gleaming mirrors. A smile plays on Jimin's lips as Jungkook stands beside him, mimicking the way he's swaying his hips. "You're probably wondering why I chose to dance to this," Jimin says, opening his eyes to glance at Jungkook. The foundation has his skin glowing, eyeshadow darkening his warm eyes. "Am I right?" "Yeah." "I wanted to challenge myself this year." Taking his place behind Jungkook, he moves his body into the correct stance, hands lingering on his waist. If he weren't the best dancer, Jungkook would've shoved his hands away. "The past two years I kept it safe. Didn't try anything too challenging, stuck to songs made for Alphas." "Now you're trying something different?" "Yep." Watching Jungkook move his hips, Jimin taps his foot to the music. "Here's your first tip of being a dancer: before learning a song, you need to fully understand it. It's best to close your eyes and listen to the singer's voice along with the background instruments, to allow your body to move how it wants so it can experience it, too." "I'm not a dancer." Sighing, Jimin takes a step back, staring at Jungkook's reflection in the mirror. "But you can be! I've seen you dance and you've got potential." Jimin makes the mistake of glancing at Jungkook's ass, then glancing away as if nothing happened. Jungkook would've attacked this if he hadn't been staring at Jimin's ass as well. But potential for what? Jungkook thinks, allowing Jimin to dance beside him, the air falling back into quietness and concentration. Perhaps he wasn't even referring to dancing after all.
