Yeah, I definitely agree with this. It's so racist and nasty how wrestlers can never show off their Latinx/Hispanic heritage unless that's their entire gimmick, and how much they downplayed it with AJ. At the very least, it's good they didn't suddenly decide to play up her being Latina more when she was doing her "crazy girl" act, because that would make it somehow even more just.....yikes all around :\

omg it would’ve just been the ‘every latina is ~angry~’ stereotype that like people loooove to talk about! i mean dont get me wrong, i have my own little fun with that one and will joke around about it but it’s like............. it’s not something i seriously believe. we don’t need a latinx/hispanic person with a ‘im angry because im laTINX/HISPANIC it’s in our blOOD’ kind of character. making it seem like we can’t handle ourselves and shit.

ia with this, but i wouldn't call aj white-passing? she's too dark to pass as a "white girl with a tan," i feel. when i first started watching, i thought she was east asian, especially with her last name, and i feel like wwe was purposefully trying to make her seem that way? that's still disgusting though, erasing her actual puerto rican heritage, most likely to probably play to some neckbeard's fantasy of a "quirky nerdy asian girl."

mmm well you know what, i have heard people say they thought aj was asian. but she did v much fall into some manic pixie nerdy girl fantasy. but like, compared to what im talking about, this is a whole other conversation tbh. because she did escape the whole ‘im just the hispanic/latinx character in ur story’ gimmick. but she did fall into another p weird/messy gimmick so it’s like !!!! this is more of some sexist conversation because she fell right into the nerdy male fan fantasy grasp.

Lol okay, fine, here's me putting a name to my comment. So, why is Zayn a prick for standing up for himself without attacking Louis on a personal level, but Louis isn't a prick for attacking him in the first place?
