“I’m not filming anything.”
My late contribution to Cherry Magic 31 Days Prompts Challenge.
Day 1 - New Year
In which Kurosawa carefully picks the spot for their first shrine visit of the year (hatsumode). Meiji Jingu is located in the heart of Tokyo in Harajuku.
Meiji Jingu is a famous shrine for couples to marry and pray for love and good relationships so it’d be the perfect spot for their first visit of the year.
Although Harajuku is famous for the street fashion and many youngsters, where Adachi wouldn’t feel in place, right beside the shopping street resides this forest like place, where it’s so quiet and peaceful, you don’t really feel like you are in the city. They walk the stone path, passing through this huge wooden portals, finally reaching an open space.
The shrine is beautifully made of wood with green roofs, not as flamboyant as Asakusa’s bright red shrines but classy and distinct. They make a stop in front os the couples camphor trees, they are grand and luscious, tied together with the shimenawa indicating the presence of gods.
They get in line and reaching the temple they pray for happiness together.

It’s almost the end of April, which means the start of Golden Week and everyone gets time off from work.
Kurosawa and Adachi go on vacation in Kyoto. Shit happens.
Written by @ohmypreciousgirl, beta’d by @creativityobsessed This chapter is part of @cherrymagic31 challenge! Written for prompt ‘Reunion’ (Day 5).
Summary: Kurosawa drops the water bottle that Adachi gave to him, slowly bringing his face close to Adachi’s, telegraphing his move as he closes his eyes. If Adachi doesn’t want to get kissed by Kurosawa right then, he will have enough time to put a stop to anything going further.
But Adachi doesn’t move away.
Adachi doesn’t push him.
Adachi stays in his arms and Kurosawa realizes it’s really happening. He’s going to kiss Adachi.
Excerpt:
“Ready?” Kurosawa asks Adachi as they stand in front of the bar where he had agreed to meet his friends. He sneaks a glance at Adachi and he can see his boyfriend is tense, but he doesn’t seem to be about to bolt.
Adachi turns to him and nods. Kurosawa gives him a reassuring smile, offering his hand to hold. He smiles back, sliding his hand into Kurosawa’s and squeezing them softly when their fingers entangle.
“Come on, then,” Kurosawa says, pulling Adachi alongside him as they make their way inside. The place is not as packed as he’d imagine it’d be for a Friday night. Differently from the bars he and Adachi usually go to, Drag Dancer is decorated in the Western style instead of a typical Japanese design. There’s a stage for the drag queens’ presentations and tables all around the place. There’s also a bar at the left side of the place, but it’s still pretty empty. As it’s still eight p.m., more people might be arriving later.
Kurosawa scans the room, looking for his friends, and quickly finds them. “There they are,” he says to Adachi, pointing at the group sitting near the stage. “Let’s go.”
