The 4 girls going to a halloween party and Natsuki meets the love of her life. (IK it's late for halloween but why not)
Natsuki was super excited to be going to Monika’s friend’s halloween party! (Not that she would ever let anyone know that...)
Her costume was a cute but obscure reference to a magical girl manga that she had been super into lately
When they all get there, they talk for a few minutes before everyone heads off with their dates, leaving Natsuki alone
She hadn’t thought they would actually go with their dates, she thought they would stay as friends and hang out and have fun together!... but they left her alone nonetheless
She pouted, walking over to stand by the food table and pulled out her phone, opening up a forum where she usually met people who were into cute manga like she was, scrolling through and trying not to cry at the loneliness
Well, either way, being here was better than being at home for her
Until someone walked by and nearly knocked her over
She was about to get mad, but you raise your hands in defense, apologizing and giggling that you were just trying to get away from your friend who was trying to set you up with this random girl you were totally not interested in
Natsuki huffed at you, saying you should be grateful that at least your friend cared about you
The two of you start talking, and Natsuki finds it surprisingly easy to open up to you. It’s like, when she says something and has an idea of how she wants you to understand and respond, you reply with exactly what she was thinking!
It was the best conversation she had ever had, she forgot all her worries about being abandoned
The two of you decided to go somewhere a little more quiet, so Natsuki suggested the back porch, there was a nice swing bench that you could sit on, and if it was too cold you could snuggle together for warmth and...
Natsuki pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind, she didn’t want to lose you as a friend when you were the best friend she had ever had and you’d only known each other for three minutes
When you get out there it is really cold, but when you shiver Natsuki just tells you to toughen up a little, and you laugh, saying “Yes, ma’am”
As you keep talking, Natsuki starts getting a bit more distant, and you pick up on this surprisingly easy. You ask if there’s something wrong, and to your horror she starts to cry
She says that she’s never had someone she felt so comfortable around, and she felt so foolish for thinking so much of you when you had only just met but she felt something special with you
You hug her, feeling her weak, shaking arms wrap around your neck and you hush her, saying that it’s okay, to be honest you really liked her too, you had never experienced anything like this before but you didn’t want to tell her in case you weirded her out
She laughs, saying that there was nothing that could weird her out, she was so used to so many things by now there was nothing you could do to discourage her from loving you
She lets go and you look at each other, smiling because you’ve found someone that you are sure about.
At the same time, you both whisper, “I love you...” and she pulls you in for a small kiss
