She blinked, they were right… but usually weren’t Deadbeats with a larger ghost? “Well, yes… I meant a larger one. I’d hate to know someone this cute was lost.”

“!!!!!! ooooo, you mean the boss??!” itty exclaimed once it realized who the girl was talking about. shaking its head, the deadbeat shrugged, “he’s with the others back at the mansion...... i was just out exploring. so.... you know the boss, then?”

“Nothing! Nothing, just...ah...a little mishap.” Gawain shifted his arm back before Ceris could get a good look at the ragged edges of the ‘burn’ where the skin didn’t quite mesh right anymore. Almost as an afterthought, he pushed up his sunglasses to keep his eyes hidden, too.

“I. Um. Spilled my coffee earlier.” He stumbled over the excuse. He’d hardly had any time to craft it, after all. “Those little warnings aren’t kidding when they say the contents are ‘hot’, ahaha...”

"H-Hi? I heard this was... a surf and arcane shop..? Or something like that..." A pink haired young woman peered inside. (cherrypinksoul)

“Hey you heard right! Welcome dudette to the Surf Shack!”“i mostly sell all kinds of beach stuff and souvenirs so feel free to grab whatever!”

"Late, I know... But Happy Valentine's~" Cerise offered Kei a green box with a blue ribbon, holding little dragon and vaguely motorcycle shaped chocolates, "Hope you like em~!" (cherrypinksoul)

Kei blinked at the very pink person offering him a box. He didn’t remember ever meeting this person before, and he’d definitely remember someone as brightly colored as her.

Still, he took the box with an appreciative look. “A-ah, thank you. Happy Valentine’s day to you too.” He said, then undid the blue ribbon so he could open the box. Of course, they were chocolates. Sadly useless to him, but it was still a very thoughtful gift that he wasn’t going to dare refuse.

He smiled at her and nodded his head in thanks. “They’re lovely! Thank you so much.”

"Arthur, don't tell me you've been relying in energy drinks and sugar again..." Cerise gave him a "you're in trouble" look. 🍒

“To be fair, I mean..... I never really stopped? I like the taste and they keep me up. Best of both worlds when I need it.”

"You know, I'm not the best with paperwork, but two people working on things is better than one. Mind if I send a hand?" (cherrypinksoul aka 🍒)

“If you think you can handle it.” Vivi lazily pushed a stack of manilla folders to the other. “These still need to be updated with evidence logs and new case information. We’ll have to share my laptop.”

"Happy Valentine's~" Cerise handed them both small boxes; a blue and white for Kia, and a yellow and silver for Lance. Kia's had chocolate dipped strawberries while Lance's had some small tool shaped chocolates. (cherrypinksoul)

“Hee, thank yeh Cer…much appreciated.”

Lance smiled softly and accepted the box of chocolates, giving the girl a gentle rub on the top of her head to show his appreciation. The chocolates would be a nice treat later while he working or relaxing later.

“We got sum Valentine treats in teh back if yeh want anneh o’ ‘em.”

“Chocolate!!”

Cue excitement from the blonde as she takes the box from the other, clearly excited about the tasty treat. With that she gives Cerise a tight and happy hug to show her appreciation.

“Thank you so much, I am going to enjoy these a lot.”

Interview with a Ghost Dad

follow-up of a previous thread with @cherrypinksoul

Vivi glanced around the lobby of the Haunted Playhouse, feeling more than a little lost. After the mess she’d made last time, she figured it was a good idea to call ahead of time and schedule her interview with the Phantom of the Musical - Mr. Rowan Russel, she reminded herself, recalling the name she’d finally thought to ask over the phone - and she was thrilled to actually get an appointment. And yet... She still recalled how Cerise had been in tears after learning the ghost haunting her family’s theater was in fact her father. Had the two sorted everything out yet? Had anything changed between them since Cerise learned the big secret? ... And was anybody going to come show Vivi where to go? She didn’t want to sneak in through the shops again, but if Mr. Russel, or Cerise, or Note and Cadence, or SOMEBODY didn’t come out and give her directions, she might just have to.
