Writing Update # 3

Is it too much to ask for help? I have a handful of people (read: 2 cause I a lonely bread 👉👈) that I normally talk to about writing. Like fics and stuff I work on. One of those two people has a really busy life but helps when I ask, when she can. And I’m grateful for that. So much!

But person number two....like ma’am! I tell you I struggle and I get no help? Yet you can ask me what I think about this story or where it should go and I give you suggestions. Now granted, I don’t expect anyone to take any of the suggestions I make because at the end of the day it’s your story. I’m just hoping to help give you inspiration on the story you’re writing and where it’s come this far.

But is it too much to ask to get the same help in return? Like please? Does anyone else have that issue? Or is it just me? Ughhhh Maybe it’s just me.

Moral of the store is I really need help on two fics! 🥺

Writing Update #2

For this update, I want to talk about something I’ve been struggling with lately and it seems weird that I struggle with this. But I have difficulty writing romance? Like not the romance genre. I love it and I can make my characters be sickenly sweet to each other - or at least I used to. 

Lately, I’ve been finding it hard to write my characters falling in love? I feel like for some reason there is some sort of mental block. I can either write my characters fully in love, or dancing around each other, but like never actually in love. And I wonder if it’s because I’ve never actually found myself in love before and felt like the person I liked had any feelings for me. So I can’t actually write from experience two people falling in love with each other.

However! The strange part is, I think I used to be able to do that. Like in my older writings I wrote characters getting together and confessing feelings all the time, but now I can’t do that. It almost seems like it’s a taboo subject to have my characters fall in love with each other.

It’s weird. I’m probably weird. But it’s a struggle I’ve been going through that I’ve wanted to voice for a while now. I don’t really know how to fix this issue, but I sort of feel better now that I’ve like addressed it and brought it to light. If anyone has any ideas on how to help with this issue, I wouldn’t mind some advice and feedback!

Writing update #1

I opened the new post and it said to restore draft, so I clicked yes and there was nothing in the draft?? Why did you keep it tumblr?!? Why did I tell tumblr to keep it?!??

Anyway, I decided I might start a series here called Writing Updates because I just have so many thoughts in my head about writing and not writing and not posting that I want to just express it on my blog. But not my main blog for various reasons. So if you’re here from my main blog, welcome! Hopefully I’ll use this side blog more. I’ve written some awesome drabbles directly from prompts on here. Lmao. Linked in my main blog masterlist but maybe I’ll do a masterlist here? Maybe.

See this is why I need this series! So many ideas and now it’s written down so I won’t forget. Lmao. Cherry BIG airhead 25/8 😂.

I think in the next update I’ll discuss my current writing struggles and maybe post some snippets of fics I’m working on. Yeah, I’ll probably do that.
