Experiment: A tribute to Patriot's Day
If you don't live in Massachusetts or Maine, you might not have heard of Patriot's Day - a celebration that commemorates the first two battles of the Revolutionary War.
Held on the third Monday of each April, Patriot's Day also hosts the annual running of the Boston Marathon, quite possibly one of the most inspirational sights you can imagine.
Team Grinnit, joined by BostInnovation's Cheryll Morris, thought this would be a great opportunity for a little alpha testing ;). Since we just built a widget for BostInno de Mayo, we figured we'd use it to share the Pat's Day album with you in the iframe below.
We started by following the Pat's Day parade, which drops a wreath at the graves of William Dawes and Paul Revere, before culminating at the Old North church, where Mayor Menino announces the annual 'Midnight Ride' of Revere.
After a necessary stop at Mike's Pastry (Grinnito needed his sugar fix), we ventured over to the marathon finish line, with a few choice photobombs along the way. We capped off a few miles on our feet with some refreshments, laughs, and new friends.
It was a beautiful day with some enthusiastic company - we couldn't have been happier.
Smiles all the way,
The Grinnit Guys
