I think the reason we don't learn a lot of grammar in school is because it really isn't a necessity for everyday speaking. Unless your going to be an English major. Of course, we don't have all those verb forms either.

I guess it is a matter of the structure of the language. 

True, even if you don’t study grammar very attentively, you can still probably manage to speak correctly but in Italy for example, there’s this damn subjunctive which is a pain in the ass for everyone and I guarantee you that if you haven’t studied it at some point and internalized it, you’ll never get it right. And indeed there are lots of people who don’t and there are so so many jokes about it! It’s like an Italian inside joke.

As an American, I remember learning the very raw basics in kindergarten. Other than that, the most I ever really learned about grammar was when I was studying Spanish in high school.

Can I say I find it quite peculiar?

I mean, of course if you live in the same country you’ve been born, you do end up actually speaking the language of course and chances are you can speak it correctly even if you don’t know its rules but usually here in Italy you can tell those who slept during those absolutely dreadful lessons of Italian grammar and those who paid some more attention or at least took it upon themselves to get a better education afterwards.

Maybe it’s a matter of difficulty of the language, I don’t know, our grammar is totally different from yours

Rander is my favorite character to roleplay for D&D. He's this really arrogant, selfish theif-type who put's his own desires before everything and everyone else and he's terrified of thunder.

My most selfish, arrogant OC is my warden from da:o. He was a blood mage who summoned demons and risked getting everyone killed just to make fights a little easier for him. He knew blood magic was forbidden and dangerous, but he figured that everyone who got turned into abominations just wasn’t as good as him. That prick.
