Hello friend, I am having the same problem with my demo. In investigating, a friend of mine went to check his code again (he had received his with no problem), only now his email showed the same issue. So it seems to be a problem on their end; the codes appear to be live-generated.

LITERAL BOYFRIEND MODE

other modes include: DJ Naoto's Coordinate Check (He will rank an outfit you pick out by each category in stars), Hanae's Fashion Fortune Telling (She'll tell your fortune based on your current outfit and will tell you a lucky item), AR Mode (self explanatory), and Tetsuko's House (You can visit her house, dress her up, and take pictures)

Link in the top portion has an e-shop QR code (also, loading the game will prompt you to download the 1.2 patch). It adds a "Download New Modes" option to the main menu, where you can download these five modes together. The modes are not immediately available though, and are connected to your story progress.

This patch is connected to the update for the retail/download release, where the to the title "Tokimeki UP!" is added. All current players can download these five modes for free to upgrade to the Tokimeki UP! version of the game (which will release on 4/17). No word on international release though I think.
