About the recents events

Due to the recents events occuring between some MASC members, we will try to update SNS posts with at least rough translations. In the meanwhile, this post will serve as a summary of what happened, and of the evolution of the events.

We’d like to specify that, as a fanpage, we do not take party for one specific member, the goal is to inform. We also ask you not to spread hate, but rather support, towards MASC and MaBlings.

On July 26, Chibin posted a picture and text about an agression that happened months ago, and that he still remembers daily, not stating any names, just calling the agressor “hyung”, but also saying he unfollowed that hyung. People realized Chibin had unfollowed ACE, and a friend of Chibin confirmed that ACE was the agressor. 

On July 27, Chibin posted an other long and more detailed text explaining the assault, saying the agressor had always seemed angry towards him, regularly hitting him and another member (Moonbong). Chibin states that the agressor hit him with his broken umbrella, and then refused to visit him at the hospital where the other members took him. The assault was dated to the 8 of March. He didn't give any name.

The next day, ACE, who've been absent of SNS since the beginning of March, posted a song and an apology letter, confirming he was the agressor, but saying Chibin's testimony was biased and exaggerated. In his song, he talked about his side of the story and how Chibin wasn't as innocent as he stated. He also explained his disappearance by the fact that, right after the incident, he took responsabilities and left the agency and the group.

Chibin responded through posts and instagram stories, saying ACE was lying and didn't answer him through the 5 months since the assault. He also talked about how ACE's personality affected him and the other members. He added that all the members were here during the agression, except Woosoo (their leader) and Moonbong (who, from what Chibin wrote, was regularly hit by ACE as well). The stories show that Chibin tried to talk with ACE, in order to settle things.   soompi article

The two members held interviews, in which they stayed in their positions, ACE saying Chibin exaggerated and talked about « taking legal acitions » towards the younger, since he was distorting reality. (ACE received lots of hate and death threats since Chibin's first post). Chibin explained the gap between the assault and his public testimony, saying their agency, jplanet, stated that, if the assault was made public, both ACE and Chibin would have to leave. He's also saying that nothing happened during those 5 months, and that his posts was thought between him and the other members. On the 29, Chibin also uploaded a screenshot of ACE's interview, repeating ACE lied, and saying he too will take legal actions.

Then, on the 30 of July, Chibin posted again, mostly asking ACE to call him.

On the 30 of July, Jihoon, also known as 26 or Yi-Ryuk, an other former member of the group, posted two pictures and long texts. The first one explains his absence, due to the military and personal reasons unrelated to the assault. He also says that he's leaving the group. In the second post, he talks about his view of the assault, and agrees on the fact that Chibin's story is exaggerated (he, for example, says that there wasn't any brick wall, against which ACE would have broken the umbrella. Chibin responded to this by a screenshot of the place in google maps), that both members have their responsability. However, rather than taking a side, he wishes for the assault to be legally settled and for the agency to have handled things better.  soompi article

Jplanet also released a statement on their fancafe, saying MASC won't be active for a while, until things cool down. ACE and Chibin are no longer part of the group, and jplanet says that they will «  take this as a lesson to become an agency that is more attentive and considerate of [their] artists. ».   soompi article

On the 4th of August, Chibin posted again. He posted a picture of the legal papers he filled against ACE, and clarified that there was a stone wall in the street the fight took place in. He also said again that there wasn't any « settlement money » as ACE claimed in his song.   soompi article

Chibin deleted every post about the incident but the long and detailed description of July 27 and that last post about taking legal actions. He also unsubscribed from 26, probably because of 26′s post.

A propos des récents évènements

Au vu de la tournure des événements et du manque de traduction, nous allons essayer de poster les récents échanges sur instagram entre les membres de MASC, avec des traductions basiques. En attendant, ce post servira de résumé et sera modifié en fonction des nouveaux événements.

Nous rappelons qu’en tant que fanpage, nous ne prenons aucun parti, notre but premier étant d’informer. Nous vous redemandons de ne pas envoyer de haine mais du support, autant aux membres de MASC qu’aux MaBlings.

Le 26 juillet, Chibin a posté une photo et un texte à propos d’une agression lui étant arrivée il y a quelques mois, agression qui le hante toujours. Il n’a donné aucun nom, il a juste appelé son agresseur “hyung”, tout en disant qu’il avait arrêté de le suivre. Les MaBlings se sont vite rendues compte que Chibin ne suivait plus ACE et, un ami de Chibin confirma ensuite la culpabilité d’ACE.

Les 27 juillet, Chibin a posté un nouveau texte, plus long et détaillé, expliquant l’agression et disant que l’agresseur avait toujours l’air en colère contre lui, étant régulièrement violent contre lui et un autre membre (Moonbong). Chibin dit que l’agresseur l’a frappé avec un parapluie cassé, puis a refusé d’aller le voir à l’hôpital où il a été amené par les autres membres. L’attaque est datée au 8 mars, et Chibin n’a toujours pas donné de nom.

Le lendemain, ACE, absent des réseaux sociaux depuis début mars, a posté une chanson et une lettre d’excuse, confirmant qu’il était l’agresseur, mais réfutant les accusations de Chibin, en expliquant que celles-ci étaient exagérées. Dans sa chanson, il dit que Chibin a aussi sa part de responsabilité. Il explique également sa disparition par le fait qu’il ait quitté l’agence et le groupe après l’accident.

Chibin répondit à travers des posts et stories instagram, en disant que ACE mentait et ne lui avait pas répondu durant les 5 mois après l'attaque. Il parle aussi de la façon dont la personnalité d'ACE l'a affecté lui ainsi que les autres membres. Il ajoute que tous les membres étaient présents lors de l’agression, sauf Woosoo (leur leader) et Moonbong (qui, d'après Chibin, était lui aussi régulièrement frappé par ACE). Chibin dit également que rien ne s’est passé depuis ces 5 mois, et que ses posts avaient été réfléchis entre lui et les autres membres. Le 29 juillet, Chibin a également posté une capture d’écran de l’interview d’ACE, en répétant qu’ACE mentait, et que lui aussi allait prendre des mesures légales.

Le 30 juillet, Chibin a posté de nouveau, demandant principalement à ACE de l’appeler.

Le 30 juillet, Jihoon, aussi connu comme 26 ou Yi-Ryuk, un autre membre de MASC, a posté deux photos et longs textes. Le premier explique son absence, due à son service militaire ainsi qu’à des raisons personnelles non reliées à l’attaque. Il dit également qu’il quitte le groupe. Dans son deuxième texte, il explique son point de vue par rapport à l’attaque et est d’accord sur le fait que Chibin exagère des détails (Par exemple, il dit qu’il n’y avait pas de mur contre lequel briser un parapluie, ce a quoi Chibin a répondu dans sa story instagram avec une capture d’écran du lieu sur google maps), et que les deux membres ont des responsabilités (dans l'accident). Cependant, plutôt que de se rallier à un point de vue, il souhaite que l'agression se règle de manière légale, et déplore la façon dont l'agence s'est occupée de cet accident.   article de soompi (en anglais)

Jplanet a également posté sur le fancafe, en disant que MASC ne serait pas actif le temps que cette histoire se calme. ACE et Chibin ne font officiellement plus partie du groupe, et jplanet dit prendre ces événements comme une leçon pour devenir une agence plus attentive à leurs artistes.   article de soompi (en anglais)

Le 4 août, Chibin a de nouveau posté. Il a posté des photos des papiers de procès contre ACE, et a clarifié qu'il y avait bien un mur de pierre dans la rue où l’agression a pris place. Il dit de nouveau qu'il n'y avait pas eu d’argent reçu, contrairement à ce qu'ACE dit dans sa chanson.   article de soompi (en anglais)

Chibin a supprimé tous ses posts concernant l’agression, sauf ceux du 27 juillet et du 4 août. Il s’est également désabonné de 26 sur instagram, probablement à cause du post de ce dernier.

A cause de cela, nous n’allons pas pouvoir fournir de traduction très précise de certains posts. Si vous ou une connaissance avez enregistré les posts de Chibin des 29 et 30 juillet, n’hésitez pas à nous en faire part!
