This is my hands-down favorite line because Eren says “Excellent.” and the most unsettling feeling from this fic generates here for me. It’s just so out of place that you can’t even find a way to justify it. It’s just wrong.
#2: From Guns and Roses, a Kenny/Carla fic I’m currently writing for NaNo.

This is said by Kenny when he’s talking about his view towards his duties as the Boss of the Underground Mafia. I love this line because it’s so raw and makes the concept of the Mafia morally gray.

STORY TIME!
So, my romantic life has quite literally been one of a 100k, slow build, friends to lover AU with a sprinkle of angst since the time I was like, 4. When i was that young, I fell like really hard for this other boy in my preschool. He was older than everyone but really funny and kind and we played house together alllll the time. To make a long story short, everyone in my tiny class found out in kindergarten that I was head over heels for this boy, who for the sake of the story i will call Eli. So everyone found out, teachers and Eli included, and i was understandably mortified. I got teased relentlessly but that never diminished that flame of love i had for him.
Flashforward to second grade, Eli told me he liked me too and i just about melted. BUT THEN, in fourth grade, he chose the day i was absent to tell MY BEST FRIEND that he was in love with her. I was heartbroken, but i also knew my friend wouldn’t betray me like that so i was just sad he didn’t see me like that anymore.
SIKE! SKIP TO SIXTH-EIGHTH GRADES WHEN ELI BECAME THE BIGGEST FUCKING ROMANTIC IN OUR SCHOOL. He told me straight up he loved me three times in french and was sure to reiterate it every night before i went to sleep. We were basically dating.
THEN high school hits and we go to different schools. The love is gone, he forgot about me in the sea of other girls at his school. We had a rough “break-up” (aka when I’m finally allowed to take eli on a date, he says no and I’m like wtf, you said you loved me and now i’m available and you’re like nah?) So I spend most of my first year getting over this boy that had me captured for nearly 10 years.
AND NOW THE GREATEST THING HAPPENS. Here i am watching anime with a neighbor at her house and this wonderful little thought pops in my head, “wouldn’t it be great to kiss her?” and my mind (which was convinced i was straight) goes uM EXCUSE ME WHAT?
That, my friends, is the story of my gay awakening.
So over some months, i sort my sexuality out and realize holy fuck, i’m pansexual! I also realize i don’t actually have feelings my neighbor but she helped me realize my inner gay. So then I tell my new besties, @marysfree and @a-sister-taking-a-siesta , this huge ass discovery. And they’re like !!!!! with a side of “we’re gay tooooooo” so now i’m feeling loved and accepted and on top of the world.
And remember, I told y’all this was a friends to lovers AU, so @a-sister-taking-a-siesta and I got close, particularly while watching Yuri on Ice like last year. And while I knew i was pan, lemme tell you, i did NOT know how to identify crush feelings when it came to women. So here I am on the couch after watching yoi, thinking “i wish i had someone who cares abt me like viktor cares abt yuri” and my mind, 110% done with my inability to recognize shit, goes YO! YOU HAVE A BIG FUCKING CRUSH ON @a-sister-taking-a-siesta YOU SHOULD BE THE VIKTOR TO HER YURI. Naturally, I fell off my couch and was like H O L Y F U C K Y O U ‘ R E R I G H T !
Skip past a few months of horrible flirting and dancing around the obvious and now we’ve been together for 7 months~
