GeekGirlCon ART!
I want to write up a little of my general experiences at GeekGirlCon but first I have to show off some of the amazing stuff I got from other artists in the AA. Some of this was art trades, some I just bought, some a combination. The other artists there were SO amazing and I wish I could have bought more. I think next year I'll budget in some more of this. In the meantime, see amazing arts! (Artists, if I misidentified or misgendered you or anything, please let me know!)
This gorgeous Coyote Child print came from Heather Hudson at Studio Wondercabinet. I'd already planned to look out for her so it was pretty much a given I'd have to hold myself back from buying everything at her table.
I can't link directly to this artist (edit: yes I can! It's infernobot!) but he hangs out with the Chibi Yeti (chibiyeti) crowd and drew me this AMAZING Adventure Time style Uhura as part of cash/trade deal. I totally got the better deal. I can't even say how much I love this. Speaking of Chibi Yeti...
... I also got this fantastic shirt in a trade with chibiyeti. It's a little wrinkled from travel but I'm very much looking forward to wearing tentacles on my belly.
This was a $3/3 minute commission from Chelsea Hemphill (teabirdy) who absolutely made my day drawing my kitten-riding-a-unicorn request. She shared a table with Britta Souhrada and it was another table I had to tear myself away from.
I guess I forgot to take a card from this artist, but luckily the packaging reminds me it's from Infinite Creature Designs. This was another trade and even though they're greeting cards, I have a feeling I'll just end up framing them all because I can't bear to part with them.
I'm really excited to read this comic (panopticomic.com / panoptic-comic)! They were sharing a table with scofflawed and I wanted so many more things from them.
I wish I'd had the time and money to wander more slowly through the Alley and buy all the things, but in the meantime I am SO HAPPY with these arts! SO HAPPY.
Chibi Yeti went to Geek Girl Con, and IT WAS AWESOME.
