April's first career was as an EMT and Crisis Counselor, but in 2007 her modeling/acting/hosting career took off when she won a contest naming her 'Loop Rock Girl.' She was the spokeswoman for 97.9 WLUP in Chicago, and sharpened modeling and interviewing techniques throughout the year.
