Ever since Stella had stopped returning Kelly's calls and text messages while she was gone getting Girls on Fire started at other stations he'd begun having doubts. And he hadn't told anyone about those doubts though he was sure his friends all noticed the change in him. He just wasn't himself.

No one had said anything though so he hadn't offered anything either, at least not until Matt approached him when Kelly was seated alone, not really paying attention to anyone else, looking deep in thought. Kelly heaved a sigh before looking at his concerned best friend.

"It's been weeks since Stella has answered any of my calls or text messages. I'm beginning to think maybe she's not coming back."

He was tired of holding how he was feeling inside and who better to confide in this his best friend.

He’d been away at a conference and came back just in time. There were rumors a snow storm was headed their way, and he had to start a bad weather protocol for his veterinary clinic. There were some long term residents in there, and if they couldn’t go out to buy more supplies, he’d have to stock up soon. But that was for later. Right now, he had someone to see. Taking a cab straight from the airport, he appeared on her doorstep, and smiled fondly at her after having knocked at the door. “Surprise. Got back early. They say there’s a storm coming in, but I say, what the heck. Let’s go to Hyde Park and indulge in some way too expensive hot chocolate and pastries before we get snowed in.” he chuckled.

Leave it to Matt to notice that Kelly was distracted and not himself when he had nothing else to keep his mind occupied. Kelly supposed he shouldn't be surprised.

Hunter had been living in New York for a while. And while he had seen Sebastian from time to time as he worked on cases that Hunter had solved that ended up in court, he didn’t really spend a lot of time associating with anyone from his past. But in trying to take this suspect in, they had pushed Hunter down the stairs, and landing on his ankle was very painful. After his partner had arrested the suspect, he came back and helped Hunter out of the building. Well, Hunter tried to push him off but the guy was too damn stubborn. Of course he knew that Casey was always that way, and it wasn’t going to change. Something he appreciated. What he didn’t expect though, was to see Nick Duval, as the paramedic his partner was taking him to. “No way in hell.”  He started. “I’m fine.”

           SHE LOVED Christmas. She loved everything about it. She loved spending it with her family and with her friends. And she loved spending it with Casey. This was their second Christmas together now and she was still happier than ever. All because of him. But this year.. This year was going to be the best yet. She just knew it. Bouncing over towards the blonde man on the lounge, Sylvie grinned as she handed Matt a gift. “I know it’s not Christmas or anything yet but I needed to give you this present early.” the blonde grinned, taking a seat next to the other on the lounge. Inside the gift bag was a pregnancy test. They were EXPECTING.
