Meeting With Shire – Update

Hi Everyone, It's with a heavy heart, and with anger and frustration, that I update you on the meeting that took place this morning between the Fowler family, The Isaac Foundation, and Shire Pharmaceuticals.  The meeting was organized after Shire's decision to deny Jack Fowler the life saving treatment he immediately requires. This meeting was&

On Saturday, Shire executives met with Jack, his family, and Andy McFadyen of The Isaac Foundation in Chicago.  All our hopes were lifted when Shire reached out and initiated this meeting two weeks ago.

Sadly, their aim was to look Jack's family square in the eyes and tell them flatly that they would NOT save their son.  They will NOT be making the life-saving drug available to Jack. 

They looked the Fowlers in the eyes and gave their son a death sentence.

All of us here at the Street Team, who work so hard to provide support and advocacy to The Isaac Foundation, are absolutely devastated by these recent events.  There were over 31,000 people worldwide who signed the online petition to save Jack.  It wasn't enough to move them. 

We need an angel.  Come out angels, come out ghosts...
